Dr. Martha is passionate about breath work. She includes photos and helpful video tutorials that really show and explain visually what she is writing about. Chapter 7 is about fully breathing into the pelvic floor. This is extremely helpful for anyone who has had abdominal surgery and/or a c-section. Really helps you focus and tune into an area that is hard to reach. She includes scientific research in a manner that is interesting and not over bearing about the effects of proper, mindful breath work. It was interesting reading about how different cultures and religions look at breathing. There are also many journal opportunities that really help you be mindful about what you are experiencing.

I recommend this book to a wide range of people. It is great for everyday use. It would especially be helpful for those who work with people who have experienced any trauma or have trouble being present in their body.
