I wasn't sure whether to rate this a 3 or 4 stars, I enjoyed it, the romance was sweet and the two of their characters were likeable enough. But I preferred the first half much more than the second half, the first half was all the romance and then the entire second half was her and her business which was a drag since I couldn't care less about her business. By the second half I was dropping it to a 3 because I was annoyed but the ending was sweet enough to get me to raise it back up lol. Jenny did annoy me at a few parts too, I mean how many times must we hear her debate about marrying Wayne or not? especially since she keeps making it clear she is not going to but yet we are subjected to her going over it again and again. Then there was the business with Laura, she never had any proof that Kurt had anything to do with Laura and yet she runs away. I could even forgive her for that but then she gets Gary to pretend to be her date to visit Kurt's house, which was just rude to say the least, he did not deserve that. Even after that when she finds out she was wrong about Laura, Jenny didn't do anything to reach out to Kurt, he had to do everything when she was the one who caused the misunderstandings, she should have made the first move, but I guess we wouldn't have had that sweet ending then. I suppose the fact that Kurt read her letter bearing her heart is supposed to level it out. There was also still some unexplained stuff at the end, we never did find out why Kurt didn't want her to know he owned the business. Maybe I rate this a 3.5, but I did like it, I just wish the second half was more like the first half. Pamela/Shadows Along The Ice is definitely the best in the series.

This was one of the better books in the series, I think. I enjoyed all the pilot/flight talk. Although I feel like the issue with the painting and the stepbrother's business decisions was never fully resolved.

Wonderful romantic fiction. I know the author & the inspiration for the title. :)

This was one of the series I was into as a teenager -- in 1998. So, while I remember enjoying it, it's certainly dated by now.
