This series gives readers a tasty look at different cultures. Each book contains more than a dozen detailed regional recipes, along with many vegetarian alternatives. All recipes include preparation time and level of difficulty.
Susan Lillian "Sue" Townsend was a British novelist, best known as the author of the Adrian Mole series of books. Her writing tended to combine comedy with social commentary, though she has written purely dramatic works as well. She suffered from diabetes for many years, as a result of which she was registered blind in 2001, and had woven this theme into her work.
A great collection of vegetarian recipes from all over the world - accompanied by mouth-watering pictures. I found the introduction with background information on a vegetarian diet very interesting - easy to understand also for younger readers.
I loved the beautiful, full-color presentation of this children's cookbook, and look forward to preparing some of the dishes therein. Unfortunately, vegan alternatives for the dairy and egg products are not mentioned in the text.
