Fatima in Twilight

Rate this book
Jesus was born one cold night in Bethlehem, an even attended by Mary and Joseph, and ignored by the world; yet from this seemingly small event our world has been changed forever. In 1917 Jesus' Mother appeared to three children on a Portuguese hillside and gave them a message for the Church and the world. she confirmed the message was from Heaven by producing the Miracle of the Sun, a miraculous and terrifying event witnessed by tens of thousands of people, and reported in the secular press of the day. Then everyone moved on with the events of their lives. Ignored by the world, the Message of Fatima was revealed, slowly and by degrees, in the history of the Twentieth Century: the rise of Communism, the martyrdom of the good, and a worldwide descent into godlessness that has caused so much misery and confusion in our own day. Many believe that the Third Secret of Fatima, never fully revealed by the Church, is writing the history of our new millennium. Can the message of Heaven given at Fatima really address our contemporary problems, and offer solutions that will benefit us in this life, and the next?

There is so much that I’ve learned from this book. I highly recommend it. Only reason I gave it four stars was because it did start drag on a bit at the end. But otherwise, great book about Fatima, History, and the Catholic Faith.

Eye opening regarding the 3rd Secret of Fatima and the deception that has transpired in order to conceal the truth. Though I was familiar with much of what was stated in the book one thing I found interesting was that, just like in politics, many of the future “players” are chosen long before they take power. Regarding the post conciliar popes… Roncalli(John XXIII), Montini(Paul VI), Wojtyla(JP II), and Ratzinger(Benedict XVI) were groomed by modernists well in advance of their papacies. I was a bit surprised how often their names came up even from when they were freshly ordained priests… well before becoming bishops or cardinals. It seems the stage was set. Very well researched book with hundreds of footnotes to cross reference if the reader is so inclined. The ebb and flow of the book was nice. Storylike in some chapters and textbook like in others.

Pray the rosary daily and devote yourself to the Immaculate Heart of Mary!

This was an awesome book with a ton of wonderful information about Fatima, however, certain blatant errors prevent me from giving it 5 stars.
Pope Benedict was certainly no "progressive" and labeling him as such as is laughable, as is calling Mother Angelica a "Vatican booster" and insinuating that St JPII and the Polish Church didn't do enough to stop Communism or, at worse, worked with the Commies.

An examination of how the papacy interacted with the Fatima apparitions and message, especially following the disaster of Vatican II, and what could possibly be the content of the unreleased Third Secret of Fatima. The author also goes into detail about the hatchet job performed on Fatima by John Paul II and his supporters, and how the Conciliar Church has attempted to change the Third Secret into a prediction of the assassination attempt on JPII.
