Jem is a self-described butch dyke from Montreal who always imagined spending her life in bars and having flings. When she meets Freda, her preconceived notions of self are suddenly moot as she finds herself in a long-term relationship with kids. But as their marriage shifts from lust to gripes, they must find new way of loving.
I'm so pumped to read a play that operates around a lesbian couple, most especially a butch lesbian. The writing is dreamy and functional while it addresses a couple preparing for a messy divorce, and how they never saw it coming to this. Would recommend for the disenchanted theatre queers who want something different.
