*****I RECEIVED A COMPLIMENTARY COPY OF THIS BOOK IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW*****
When you first look at the length of this book you might think "That's it?! Impossible. This is going to be of no help to me!" I know that's what I thought. Still I sat and enjoyed my evening read.
I have to say, the simplicity of this book is truly what inspired me to actually move and do what this book said. The author doesn't try to be exceedingly fancy or go into the psychological background of why you have the mess that you do. It's just a "this is what we have, this is what we are going to do". I can't say how much I appreciate how everything was laid out and after a week of practicing what's in the book I'm already reaping the benefits of it all!
It is not for everyone, of course, but if you're a no-nonsense kind of person looking to jump right into it, then this is exactly what you want and need!
Really quick read, (sorry it took me so long to review, crazy life). Straight to the point. I totally agree with the start in one corner idea. A method I use when tackling the children's room. I also think the idea of starting with surface things before tackling drawers and cupboards is great. On reflection my downfall in De-cluttering for 6 people is that I don't have my three boxes, and I get everything out all at once. Before you know it, I've run out of steam. This book is the perfect length for busy people who are looking to organize themselves.
Great cleaning motivational book! Short, easy read. I wouldn't call it so much a guide book, because many know the art of this tedious task, but more of a 'get up and do it' type guide. After reading it, all I wanted to do was declutter and clean. Take 10 minutes to read this, and you will be up and at it. She also breaks down how to properly 'declutter' and how every item has its place. Guaranteed you'll be better at cleaning after you read this. Thanks Sara for putting this useful book together.
I would recommend this book to people living in larger houses and with people who aren't going to mess up the system mid-declutter. If you're in a dorm with a nosy roommate or in a two room apartment with a nosy roommate, not so much. Still, quite a helpful and quick read.
