Raynard and Kintessa Blackwell are newlyweds. They fought a long and hard road from their first meeting to the "I Do's", complete with drama worthy of a Monday night reality TV show. It's taken years for Raynard to see the gem he has in Kintessa, but now that he finally has and made her his wife, life is picture perfect....
Until a trip to the grocery store attempts to shatter that picture.
A blast from Raynard's not so distant past, Tamika lives in a delusional world where it is her and Raynard forever. She is determined to make him see that she's the one for him and being pregnant with his child is proof of that.
Raynard quickly finds himself being pulled in two different directions, trying to be the husband his wife deserves while trying to be the father his child needs. While Kintessa struggles to figure out if she can handle this package deal.
Being married to a man with a child is hard, but being married to a man with a BABY is damn near impossible.
Yes yesss yesssss! This was a good read. I felt a connection to all of the characters including crazy Tamika. Jeezus lawd and I know a girl who has the same Byrd logic as that lunatic. Raynarden Tamika Forever?? I fell out reading that part it was so funny
Wow this book was really good, it held my attention from start to finish. I feel so bad for Kitt and Raynard because that bird ass tramp Tamika is going to give them hell. She was pissing me off the whole book, I was like can somebody please slap this hoe. I can't wait for part 2 to see what other drama Tamika can cause.
This is my first read by this author... this was an okay read for me... This storyline starts off with drama then slows down a lot... but then the childish games began... There was a lot of repetitiveness and to me very predictable... Then this book kept flipping between 1st and 3rd person... But I do not understand the need to do this... It really messed up the flow of the book to me and became pretty frustrating... Because the person talking could have easily said the same thing of what was going on in the scene as the author tying to explain what was happening in the scene... I also didn't like that it flipped so much between 1st and 3rd person right in the middle of a character talking... So to me it was a major distraction... There was also a point when Raynard was talking to Tamika's grandmother and but confused me for a little bit because I thought she was Vee but he called her Judy... so that threw me off for a little bit... Reynard was just to much for me... I can see him trying to make things right with his wife... But even with him trying he was making this way to much for his wife to handle... Some of the things he was doing for Tamika was having me look at him sideways... I mean he was acting like she was his woman... Just to support and be there for someone does not mean neglecting your WIFE and kids and spending all this money and time on the other chick and her child... Like I said he was doing way to much for the side chick and had her feeling like the main chick... I do not know how his wife Kintessa has held on this long... Tamika was just way to childish... She is just out here having babies and trying to get these men to take care of her... She needs to get out there and get a job and take care of her child that she does have... She is so worried about Raynard and having a baby by him that she is totally neglecting her child Cory and leaving the responsibility to her grandmother and brother... I do not know how many times Raynard has to say and show her that he does not want to be with her... But he did mess up I guess because the moment that he started giving her attention and support that her grandmother asked of him... He gave her that little bit of hope that she needed and she ran with it... So he created a monster that he did not know how to handle... I really just want her to grow up... I feel so bad for Kintessa... She is doing all that she can to hold on to her family... But a woman should not have to fight so much to save her family... It should not be this hard to keep your family together... If it is this hard than it is just not meant to be... Then for Raynard to come at her like this... Oh to the no... Soooo now that Tamika has finally gotten what she has been waiting for... What will Raynard do... What will this cause her to do... What will become of this family... Now on to part 2 to see how all this will play out...
I loved the way this book was written, giving the reader each character's thought process and point of view. I so desperately want Raynard's marriage to work but Tamika is making it so hard. Kitt is a jewel, but I can understand her wanting to bow out. Tamika should have died in that accident - she really took a chance with her baby's life. This book really surprised me, I didn't think I would like it this much. Needs some editing which is why I gave it only 4 stars.
Tamika is truly bipolar and Raynard is truly paying for it. Now he realized that he should have not slept with her and he should have left her in the store to get arrested. Why he thought things were going to be peachy serves him right. All the cheating he did while in a relationship with Kitt, then she leaves him to pursue her education in New York while living with relatives. Like the book said "Being married to a man with a child is hard, but being married to a man with a BABY is damn near impossible." I enjoyed the book.
I’m apart of the i hate tamika club lol. I still don’t believe the dna results. Kitt did the right thing. Things will never be the same in their household all because of Nard. He needs to be more like Meeko lol
Wow what the hell Raynard done got him a baby mama from hell. I can't wait to read the nxt part bc i knw it's gonna be some drama & craziness going down bc Tamika ain't playing with a full deck
Love the story line. Can't wait to read the second one. Had a couple of mix ups . Tamika is crazy. Love Nard an Kitts. Definitely going to read the next one
Good read but was a tear jerker for me I felt so bad for Kintessa. Tameka was a bitch that needed a good ass whooping. Good interesting book from beginning to end.
In sorry but I'm feeling Kitt on how she's feeling. We were on a break, but you got someone pregnant, a hood rat .I really want Tamika to get her ass beat
K Sherrie really did it this time! I started reading this book and I couldn't put it down until I was finished! Kitt tolerated a lot of mess from Reynard throughout their relationship. I was glad when she finally said enough! Meka was a straight up physco! I hope she gets what's coming to her with her Scandalous rump! As for baby Miracle or whatever Meka named her I hoped the paternity test would prove to be tampered with and if not hopefully Kitt and Reynard would get sole custody. This book was definitely a page turner and I can't wait to read part 2!
This was definitely a good read. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. The writer kept the story going with ease. She made it believable even when there were some unbelievable actions. Tamika made you want to beat the brakes off her and Kintessa had questioning your self as to whether or not you would be able to handle the situation. All in all this was a very good story. This was my first read from K. Sherrie but it won't be my last.
NOW KITT NEED TO KEEP IT MOVING CAUSE NARD NEW WHY KITT LEFT IN THE FIRST PLACE BUT HAVING A RACHET BABY MAMA NOPE KITT CAN DO BETTER HOPE SHE WISE UP AND THINK ABOUT HER HAPPINESS CAUSE HE DON'T AND DIDN'T PUT A NEW MAN IN THE BOOK AND LET KITT BE PREGNANT BY HIM JUST SAYING
