Have you ever desired to mentored by a prophet of God? Then I highly recommend the reading of the author's materials. This book gives wisdom for increasing in your prophetic gift. And you are not being mentored by a novice here, but a mature prophet of God, who has made mistakes and has had success. He teaches how you can recognize a prophet in training:

1. An ongoing exercise of prophecy;
2. Look for the results of an individual's prophecies. There are prophecies that have life changing power upon them. When they speak out in church, the atmosphere gets charged with God. Does the prophecies have a profound effect on the meetings and life of the church? Is it life changing? Is it life producing?;
3. A prophet should be able to stir up the gift. Prophets exercise their gifts when they are needed most. They are reliable because they have been sufficiently equipped by God. They know what to do to release the Word of the Lord.
4. A true office means a true gift of revelation, which operates consistently. One true mark of a prophet is revelation, such as, reveals mysteries, reveals God's plans, makes things known that have been hidden (at times it contains specific private matters). Not all revelation is new, but sometimes, it is bringing clarity to old truths.

He also teaches that when a preacher preaches on "healing", he will get "healing." When he teaches on "faith", people will begin to experience "faith." The same goes for the prophetic gift, when the prophetic is taught on, the gift of the prophetic begins to get stirred up.

I think the number one thing I learnt is that if you want to operate in the prophetic gift it all comes down to having a intimate relationship with God. He says, "When we are connected to God by intimate relationship, when we are His friend, not only does the anointing naturally flow through us, it increases."

At the end of this book, he releases the believer into the prophetic by getting them to pray the following prayer:

Father, let the spirit of prophecy come down on me. Father, let the prophetic oil be poured out, so I could prophecy, so that I could learn. Father, release words of edification, comfort, and exhortation. Give me Scripture, visions, and mental pictures. Father come and speak to me in all the different ways that you speak. The Bible says to desire prophecy. God, you wouldn't want me to desire something, you didn't want to give me. You want me to desire to prophecy because you want me to prophecy. So, here I go LORD, it's time to prophecy. Amen.

Extremely helpful

This was a get read i have been seeking this spirit feeling in simplicity. This book provide a power pack simple. It spoke to me so creditworthy making me feel still empty. I reaching for more but realize that it was enough this test is up to you LORD

Decent Content, Poor Editing

The book was decent in terms of the content, but it really needs an editor. If you can get around the poor formatting, typos, etc. and are new to the belief of/understanding of prophecy, I would recommend it.

This is very open eyes. God gave us the gift of Prophetic, and we need to develop to the overflowing. Every gift from God I'd good and great, just used it to glorify God.

Excellent

Excellent book on prophecy. The book reads more like a collection of sermons but it all connects and is very informative. Some good, solid revelation here
