Dr. Jessica Bentley knows all about monsters. She lives with them. Deals with them every day. But when Jessica warns the city of San Diego about a modern day Jack the Ripper on live TV, she never expects to become the monster’s next target.
A brilliant madman is watching.... A serial killer the media has dubbed the "Savior" is terrorizing San Diego. He is a chameleon, a hacker who can create and delete his identity at will. He blazes through firewalls, strolls through doors that are closed to millions, and dreams about saving the world against sin. He's a wizard, a god, a ruthless killer.
Now you see her, now you don’t… Wanted for murder, Navy SEAL Jake Kincaid is battling the feds, the cops, and as the clock winds down on a terrifying deadline, Jake plunges headlong into the most desperate hunt of his life, into the shattering search for a killer, a deadly truth, and for the love of his life, whose past has come back to kill her.
Just how far will a man go to save the woman he loves? The answer is simple--all the way over the edge.
TEAM EDGE BOOK TWO Best-selling author of Romantic Suspense!
From USA TODAY: As menacing as the cover is for KT Bryan's The Edge of Honor, her villain is a trillion times creepier. Seriously, this guy's twisted factor is off the charts. He suffered through a savage childhood that goes a long way toward explaining his evolution from victim to killer, but what's truly fascinating is the clever linking of his past to that of another major character. This is one reason the book opens with a series of scenes in differing points of view, which I initially found disorienting, but it didn't take long before I'd attached to every character. Of course that made it difficult to watch them suffer, but it also made the ending all the more gratifying. The Savior outsmarts and outmaneuvers Team Edge again and again, which amps up the tension like nobody's business. It's diabolical, how the author makes this believable--after all, Team Edge is a powerhouse of mad military skills--but Bryan pits them against the craftiest of adversaries. As far as the villain's identity? No clue here until I saw the reveal on the page. But the serial killer's not the only source of danger. The action and intensity do not let up. Not even once. The Edge of Honor is the second book in Bryan's Team Edge series (I was thrilled to watch the hero of The Edge of Trust in action again!), and it's one exciting sequel. Balancing the brutality is a welcome layer of wry humor and surprising sentimentality (I admit it, I cried). Bryan knows her guy-speak, excels in keeping her reader guessing, and creates one heck of a disturbing baddie. The Edge of Honor is a raw, dark, high-tempo thriller layered with delicious romance. It's a lot of book to read in one sitting, but trust me, you'll try.
"Suzanne Brockmann fans will love KT Bryan." ~ Joyce Lamb, Bestselling Author of TRUE SHOT
With hard-charging, full-blooded characters that leap off the page, terrific writing and a plot that moves at a breathless pace, THE EDGE OF HONOR proves that KT Bryan is right up there with the best romantic thriller authors writing today--names like Allison Brennan, J.T. Ellison and C.J. Lyons. ~~ Michael W. Sherer, Thriller Award-nominated author of Night Drop
As KATIE BRYAN, I write CHICK LIT and ROMANTIC COMEDY. I'm the author of the WOOF BOOK series and Loving Logan.
I currently live in Georgia with my family, one overweight German shepherd and three very spoiled cats. I have a varied background in the military, the airlines, antiques, and medicine. My favorite career is writing and sharing stories with readers and fellow writers.
As KT BRYAN, I'm an action, adventure, ROMANTIC SUSPENSE/THRILLER author who enjoys good wine, great art, Tuscany, and a touch of mayhem. (You never know what you might see when you wake up suddenly in the dark.) I’m the author of TEAM EDGE. USA TODAY by Kathy Altman says:
"If you're looking for a darkly thrilling read as unpredictable as it is emotionally wrenching, look no further. With The EDGE of TRUST, KT Bryan deftly delivers all that and more. Both the plot and the characters are gritty and layered, the story's intensity rising with every turn of the page. The book can be graphic at times, but the brutal edges are softened by Sara and Dillon's poignant recollections of more innocent, remorse-free times. These memories provide a stirring contrast to the overpowering feelings of hurt and anger that shadow every interaction between Sara and Dillon — even when they're running for their lives. Bryan had me asking myself over and over again the question that signifies a gratifying romance: How in the world will these two ever end up together?
Dillon's journal entries, recorded during his time spent undercover, were my favorite part of the story. In the midst of the couple's agonizing over whether their marriage is dead (while dodging bullets and jumping off cliffs), these snippets written by Dillon reminded me how much he cared for Sara, since he wrote them for her. Not only because she's a journalist always on the lookout for an exclusive, but because, before the revelations about his supposed affair, and before the explosion that ripped them apart, he felt close to her, and his journal allowed him to maintain that connection. I would have loved to have seen, at the story's end, some reference to Sara finding these journals, to reading them, and her reaction to this heartfelt reminder that Dillon never stopped thinking about her. Never stopped loving her.
Bryan excels at plot twists — veering the story toward a road that isn't anywhere on the map.
Adventure, betrayal, revenge and redemption — trust me, you'll find it all in The Edge of Trust. And after reading this story you'll be as eager as I am to dive into the next book in Bryan's Team Edge series, The Edge of Honor. The hero is a Navy SEAL. Go ahead. Try to resist. Me, I'm not that strong. Because, you know, we're talking SEALs. Hooyah!
Exhilarating 4.4 Stars A serial killer is on the loose in San Diego. This psychopath is called “The Savior” but he is no deliverer from evil; he is the devil himself. Unfortunately “The Savior” is exceptionally intelligent, extremely cunning and a genius with computers. No person has ever lived once he sets his sights on them. He usually preys on pregnant, unmarried, blonde women, but he will make an exception whenever he fancies the notion. First and foremost, “The Edge of Honor” is a suspense thriller containing many acts of extreme violence and sexual abuse. This book also incorporates a deep seeded love story within these electrifying pages. There are several other story-lines going on throughout this tale and on some level they tie into the main story. If you enjoy reading a dark, good versus evil story then get comfortable, make sure to keep the lights on so you don’t get scared and get ready to lose yourself in this exhilarating and intoxicating novel. Wow. I absolutely loved this ending. 'Part Nine' of 'The Edge of Honor' serial was full of action, emotion and intensity. Jake was such a huge part of Jessi getting through her whole nightmare. I wasn't sure which way K.T. Bryan was going to go in the end, but I applaud her for creating a great Serial that kept me on edge and I felt such a bond with the characters. The storyline was exciting and brought so many emotions out. A great add to your tbr list. I look forward to reading more of the 'TEAM EDGE' series.
'Part Five' is full of tempers rising and the emotional breakdown that is brought on by the 'impending doom' feeling. The storyline, as with all the parts to Book Two, is well written and every page adds to the overall picture. The evil has snaked its way too close to home. I have been hooked on this series, 'TEAM EDGE', from the very first page of Book One, 'The Edge of Trust'. I can't wait to read more. A definite must read series.
'Part Seven' is full of 'holy crap' moments. As the story unfolds, many things are coming out. Some don't seem important, but with K.T. Bryan's writing style, all details are important. Everything she writes is for a reason. The story of Vince and John and how they became their own family while they were young, is coming full circle as they age. It's becoming crunch time for the intended victims and those that swore to protect them. An awesome series to get caught up in.
'Part Four' was intense. The storyline is becoming more complex and dangerous. Between Aaron and Nikki along with Jake and Jessi things are getting scary. The banter between Aaron and Nikki is great. I love how Nikki was portrayed as a spoiled, blond brat, but she is so much more than that. Aaron definitely has his hands full. I look forward to reading more.
'Part Two' was almost as intense as 'Part One'. The storyline goes into more detail about how messed up Sidney really is. And Jessi's pregnancy really is going to complicate her and Jake's life with the target on Jessi's head. I can't wait to read more.
'Part Three' gave us a look into Aaron and Nikki's situation. What a way to meet. This series kept me glued to the pages since 'Part One'. I look forward to reading more. A great add to your tbr list, but each part of 'Book Two' needs to be read in order. So go ahead, add them all, and read on.
'Part Six' took on a whole new level. The end is getting closer, and the psycho factor is going through the roof. The Savior is ruthless, cunning, brilliant and has a god complex. Jake is thrown into a tailspin. On to the next installment... A must read series.
'Part Eight' was quite the race to figuring out the possible outcome of the events that could shatter lives. Dillon and Jake make quite a pair. Lives are on the line and it's getting to the point of a showdown of sorts. I look forward to reading more.
