The trail descriptions and how to get there are extremely accurate. This is a "greatest hits" of New Mexico hike book, though, meaning it's a list of the most popular trails not necessarily the best trails. If a beginning hiker or just visiting New Mexico, buy this book. If you've been hiking for a while, page through it at a book store and see if there's anything you missed that looks interesting.

Pretty good. The hikes in Pecos and Chaco are among my favorites. The directions to trail heads and descriptions of the trails are clear and accurate. Goodbook for people just beginnig to hike in NM or wanting to take some of the more popular trails they've missed.
