I am at loss of words after reading the first book of the trilogy.
Kaajal Oza-Vaidya - as always, never fails to amaze her readers.

Yog Viyog is an emotional tale of a revered lady named Vasundhara, whose husband leaves her within initial years of their marriage and she founds herself alone with the responsibility of two sons, one daughter and one unborn child.

The book takes a start when after 25 years of living without her husband, Vasundhara starts the search mission for her husband through a paper advertisement giving him 48 hours of time to contact her and the family, failing to which she will consider him as gone forever and will have no bonds of relationship with his husband.

Rest is an emotional roller coaster ride of events which revolves around the lives of Vasundhara and her children who are fully grown up now and have their own wills and wishes for their lives and in turn they want to control the life of Vasundhara also.

The story takes dramatic twists and turns when Vasundhara's eldest son and daughter falls into the extramarital relationships and meanwhile Vasundhara's husband shows up at her doorstep with a daughter from his second wife.

Exquisite writing & highly gripping prose is the key of the book. KOV has been my favorite speaker and writer. Her books have always been enlightening on the personal relationships and this one is no different.

A must read for every Gujarati reader.
