This tiny tome is my gift to my partner in birding and in life, Mr. Likevelvet, on the day of love, St. Valentine's Day 2016. It is filled with beautiful words and beautiful paintings, just like my heart is filled with the words and images of love I have for him. (If not mega shmoopy today, then when?)

A classic work (portraits):but don't expect much from text

Uniform descriptions of bird family physiognomy - not what most are interested in today. Field marks and behavior is of interest today.
