Like Mary, I try to use food and herbs as health solutions as much as possible over commercial medicines and antibiotics specifically. I love being able to use Mary's books as a learning reference for herbal and nutritional treatments.
She is a vegan, and while I am not, but I don't think that detracts from any of the recipes or lessons, after all, I'm reading to learn about the healing benefits of plant based foods, rather than what beef/dairy/bacon does for me.
