Will Nisha be able to make an exception to her rule about not dating dope boys, and protect the man she loves, or will she turn her back on Juvie and relinquish all her dreams of happily ever after with him.
Not really into this one at all with the back and forth bi stuff, it was just a bit too much. I’m not even sure why the father turned against the son seeing that he didn’t do anything that would call for that. You don’t even get an understanding of the entire connection really.
I thought Snoop was going to bring some light into what happened with King but that didn’t happen and the mess with Chris and the couple seemed like a ton of nothing. Even if the attorney did have words with Clip I didn’t see the point in that scene or the over-the-top ex-husband, they really didn’t bring much into the story. I thought in the first one Nisha talked too much, by giving out all the dirt on her ex’s. This was just too bland and boring, to be honest.
I enjoyed how the author wrapped everything up. The book was ok. There were a lot of unnecessary sex scenes but the storyline was good. There were too many errors though.
I love the way Jace live nisha. I really thought it was big of Mike to finally man up and let go. Hated to see the kids suffer because he couldn't let go.
pros • Opened with a nice short catch up from book 1. • Background on the players was enlightening • Story wrapped up nicely
Cons • Lacked energy and excitement • Redundant descriptions • Incorrect word usage or missing words • Pace was extremely slow • The first half of each chapter started with a re-hash of scenes from each characters points of view i.e. Juvie, Raphael and Janisha each had a chapter detailing one event from their point of view and that lead to 3 unnecessary chapters per scene. • Juvie’s rude/direct/brash language/behavior in the OB's office was unbelievabley sophomoric(frat boy) and so out of character. I won’t spoil it. But needless to say it was over the top and out of character who is describe as an intelligent man. Also his reaction to how his actions and language affected Janisha was hard to believe.
The author set the bar high in the first book. This book didn't keep up the momentum. I stopped and started this book several times.
Juvie was definitely the man, blue eyes and all! We can't discriminate when it comes to who our soul mates are! Nisha was Juvie soul mate, BBW and all. Mike is a hot mess, I don't know if I would have been able to get over the fact he is bi sexual. Jenn and Clip are great together too! Pops ain't no joke either. I guess DL niccas come in all fashion and forms! Whew this was great LaToya!
Part 2 definitely did some justice. And although I pretty much knew what would happen, I was hit with a different turn or events. This read could have went in various directions. Loyalty was tested and lies almost broke vows. I did want more, but nonetheless I enjoyed the read.
I loved every parts of this book. This book went a whole 360 then what I thought it would. Which is good. They were a few editing issues but it didn't take away from the story. Ready for your next project.
I love this couple and this series! This was not the usual hood book and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely be recommending this series to all my book club friends.
I still love me some Juvie. I can't believe Drama could so careless. Really hate he got caught up in Snoops carp. Glad everyone got their happy ending.
Part 2 was not all that. The majority of this book was about Juvie and Nisha sex life. I have never read a book where 75% covers the 2 main characters having sex. Just ridiculous and a waste of time.
