I’ve read every book K. Langston has written, and I’ve been anxiously waiting for the new Brothers in Blue saga. This story did not disappoint—I absolutely loved it. Benson and Karmen are officially my favorite couple in this entire family of brothers.
The book captures everything I adore about second‑chance romance. The moment Karmen walks back into Benson’s life—the woman who once shattered him—you can feel every ounce of unresolved love, pain, and longing between them. Their chemistry is undeniable, and the way the story moves between past and present makes their history feel so vivid. I loved seeing how they met, why they fell apart, and how five years later their connection is somehow even stronger. I more than loved the bonus scene, I have never had an author choose that path before!
The emotional depth in this book is incredible. You can feel the heartbreak they caused each other, but also the fierce, enduring love that never really faded. Add in the danger, the high‑stakes investigation, and the fight for trust, and it becomes impossible to put down.
My only complaint? Now I have to wait for the next release from K. Langston—and that hardly seems fair.

This is the fifth book in this amazing series, and this is Benson and Karmen’s story.
Benson and Karmen have a history, and this story flits between the past and the present to get a better understanding what happened to them.
Benson is a police officer, whose badge and heart is on the line, and Karmen who shattered his heart, is assigned to investigate the case which could destroy his career and everything he has built.
This is a well written fast paced story, with found family, friendships, emotions, heartbreak, tension, forced proximity, danger, suspense, intrigue, workplace romance, enemies / lovers, second chances, trust, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from these talented authors’ whose work I highly recommend.

Benson and Karmen have history and when Benson's professional life is flipped upside down, the last person he expects to come waltzing in is Karmen.
Karmen knows that investigating this case will ruin her professional career, it's against the rules - conflict of interest and all that, but she knows in her heart and her soul that Benson is innocent, and she has to prove that, at all costs.
I loved this story - it was fast paced but didn't skip the depth and heat by any means. I've read everything that K Langston has written and will *patiently* wait for the next release!

Such a great feeling to be back with these characters after a long break🤗 We finally get to know more about Benson and what happened between him and Karmen years ago.
Karmen comes back into Benson’s life when he is framed for a crime, he hasn’t committed. They decide to work together to uncover the truth, but will they be able to do this without wanting to reignite the passion they once had?🤷♀️

The Commander’s Truth is one you need to go one click. Benson is a cop and his whole career is being turned upside down by someone he trusts. Karmen has come to help investigate what is going on. These 2 have a past but will said past hurt the investigation? Karmen is willing to do what she needs to do to make sure Benson doesn’t go down for something he didn’t do! I loved this book. K. Langston is back and she brings it with this book! Go one click now and make sure to grab the first 4 books while you are at it. But you don’t have to read them before this one!

A second chance romance with danger and family? It is exactly why I picked up The Commander's Truth. To be fair this is my first book in this series but I was able to follow along without feeling like I was missing anything.
I liked Benson. Even in the face of his career being on the line he did the right thing. Until the past he never got over walked in the door. Karmen was bold and brave and torn between duty and her heart's desire.
Fast paced and full of plans and schemes and a double cross no one saw coming had me finishing Karmen and Benson's second chance in a day.

I devoured this book, like I did every other book of hers. I’ve been anxiously awaiting her to write the next brother in the series and she surely did not disappoint with Benson. I love the second chance romance that Benson and Karmen got to experience, and the way you can feel the emotion of the heartbreak and tension between them. Perfection. I highly recommend to go check this series out and Langston’s books.

This story is a must read y’all!!! Who doesn’t love a second chance romance that has heat, tension, danger and so much more. Benson is my new favorite book boyfriend! When I say my kindle was heating up yall, I mean it was burnt. I have enjoyed all of K. Langston’s stories and this one is top shelf! The Brothers in Blue books are all great. Thinking about a re read now. Grab them all. You won’t be disappointed. But you may want a fan and water for this one. 😎❤️
