Sadie is the director of the Silver Peak annual Silver festival even though there is supposed to be a curse on whoever is director. This is based on a director who disappeared on his way home from the festival 20 years ago. The first thing that happens is the Silver for the festival is stolen. Sadie goes to work finding the silver and figure out where the director who disappeared went. Even though she has her own store she seems able to run around town, travel out of town etc without any problem.

This Silver Peaks series, a Guideposts Christian series, is good, even if you aren't into Christian literature. These are mysteries with good plots and they are well written. They are light on the religion aspect.

In this book, Sadie Speers, our protagonist, is in charge of the annual Silver Peak festival, which celebrates the town's silver mining history. It's rumored that the director is cursed, since something seems to happen every year. Indeed, Sadie ends up in charge because the person who was supposed to be director was injured. Well, the reader knows that "something" will happen in Sadie's life too. A set of valuable silver, mined in Silver Peak's mines long ago, and loaned to the museum for the festival, is stolen. That's one mystery for Sadie to solve. The other is a 20 year-old mystery of a previous festival director who completely disappeared at the close of his festival. That mystery I pretty quickly solved myself.

I always have to laugh- Sadie, who abhors gossip, is always in someone's business asking personal questions. But like I said, these are decent mysteries.

Sadie is the director of the annual Silver Peak festival. A lot of the people in Silver Peak believe the festival director is cursed because 20 years ago the festival director disappeared. Right away, a set of silver coins vanishes that were on loan for the festival. Can Sadie find them before the festival starts? Meanwhile, Edwin doesn't seem like his usual self. Sadie finds out that he is worried over a medical scare. will he let her help him? Sadie has a list of suspects. Read this suspenseful book to find out who took the silver coins and what happened to the festival director 20 years ago. Enjoy!

Another super cute and interesting mystery from Silver Peak Colorado. I really enjoyed this latest installment where Sadie has 2 mysteries to solve, missing silver and a 20 year old missing person case. Both proved to keep me interested in the story and my suspicions about both cased proved to be correct. Looking forward to the next one!

I love being able to escape to Silver Peak, and all the characters who are so kind and loving. It reminds me a lot of being in a Hallmark movie. I love reading these when I'm in need of a feel-good mystery. They're a bit too cozy for most readers, but I love having the Christian aspect of these books along with a mystery. And the setting can be a fun part of a book, so I love these being in a small mountain town in Colorado.

I love mysteries and found this very enjoyable. I am sure all readers of mysteries would also.
And the fact this is a Christian book is an added bonus for me.
