Read in galley from harper via Edelweiss. This is an excellent police procedural for any devotee of the genre who likes exploring contemporary cultures on the international scale and appreciate characters who have individual personality problems in addition to the difficulties presented by the plot that unites them. Set in Israel and with an omniscient narrator who spends nearly equal time with two couples, each of whom includes a sabra partner and an immigrant one. Even the unwinding of the crime is off-formula and thus studded with little gems of insight. Glad I took this one!
