A family member gave me this book when I decided to move to Taos. It’s full of stories, some of which may be true and others that may be lore. In a place with a complicated history, it provides a breadth of perspective but can’t escape the fact that it privileges the Anglo histories of Taos.

An older book about Taos people, written in 1970s. Still, a fun book to read if you are planning on visiting the area.
