Fascinating look at jewelry inspirations from around the world. However, a lot of the designs I feel are up for interpretation. Most of the inspiration for the designs comes from colors and shapes common to the area, and while the jewelry is edgy and inspired, I was hoping more for jewelry made with materials native to the area. Using some Czech beads on Japanese pieces didn't really do it for me. That is why a book like this is so hard to create. Because everyone kind of has a different idea of what jewelry from different countries looks like and how to assemble it.
I do plan to use some of the more exotic patterns in the book, example: the Gaudi Tile bracelet is my favorite design in the book. Truly creative to use colorful mosaic tiles to create a unique bracelet. And it will give an opportunity to work with a medium I have never used before: Grout and glass! :D
