Kartik: Yes, I want to be successful, and that's not a crime. Trust me, I too would have wanted the same as Ms. Stupid, but I can't toss away my hard-work of years for a girl. We would have had a beautiful love story had she not been my boss's daughter. Sahana: I know he’s ambitious and doesn't know his heart well. But I'm sure one day Mr. Logical will come to my way of thinking, and we'll have a beautiful life together thereafter. He flirted with her for five days; she waited for him for five years, only to be shattered irrecoverably one day. Logic seems to be winning the battle, until destiny refuses to move on and adamantly brings them face to face again. In life’s moments of struggle and comfort, the heart and mind must join hands to combat. A love story dedicated to the generation that never values what comes easy. Wish a few logics were a little less stupid. But nevertheless… Logically Stupid, That’s Love.
Kathik and Sahana's love story is cute. Both of them with different mindsets and their approach in life is different. Circumstances start theirlove story and the story goes on about how their love story progresses. Quick, light reading
I have read the previous book of the author and dived into this book with high expectations.
It's about two people with completely different mindsets and how they fall in love and what happens next.
The plot is very interesting and compels you to try and find out what happens next. Page turning? Yes, it is. It makes you guess and then surprises you with what happens next. It's a very light-hearted story. You won't cry and feel sad over what a character lost. In fact, you feel the excitement building up inside you, you feel the curiosity rising up, you just feel so good reading this book.
It's amazing for light reading. Like if you want to read a book that is really sweet and interesting, that should let you have a good time, that should give you a break from your usual stressful life... this is the one for you.
The author always gives very good attention to the characters. Each character is lovable. There is no real villain in the story and that makes it different from usual Indian masala stories. No boring love triangle. No plotting and stuff. And still, it is nothing but interesting. Yes, different kind of love stories in India are possible. If you don't agree, try reading this book and you would know!
Review of logically stupid that’s love by shikha kumar
First of all I really want to thank komal priyani di for tagging me on the post where I get to know about this book logically stupid that’s love by shikha kumar and it was launched at world book fair 2016. And I was lil lucky that I got a signed copy of her book before the launch, for that I really want to thank srishti publication people for giving all the information related to the event. After getting this book as I was getting back to my home through bus i started reading everyone was staring me but I was engaged in my reading. Seriously when I started reading this book after few pages I was so engaged that I can see the characters in front of my eyes. This book has something which should be accepted by everyone if that person is in relationship or not. This book is totally dedicated to the generation that never value what comes easy. This book has too many ingredients that can make a complete tasty yummy dish. Love the way she put all those elements like romance, thrill, career oriented and most important the balance between love and carrer. As I really want this type of story plot and shikha mam has plotted this story every well. Simply love the characters and my favorite is sahana I m like her. And if a person is connected with the character this much that means the book is superb (this is my perception). Every chapter is having some twist which is the plus point of this book. This book is like a movie for me. In 250 pages if I m getting a movie, than for me it is a “paisa vasul”. Thank u shikha mam for writing this book. Keep writing like this and bring new plots for your readers. -Monisha swamy
Quote For This Book :- In love ,The wise uses the logical mind ,then the heart throbs & the mind loses its might.
My Views :-
Life is all about the choices u make, it totally depends whether you want to settle for the momentary pleasures or you want to work hard for the life-long contentment. In the budding years, Love & career are equally important for a human being but what if life puts you in a situation where u have to choose between love & career at a same time ??
This story highlights the practical "Prioritising the preference" situation which a couple faces in todays career-oriented era. Leaving all the logicalities behind two antipodes Kartik (who is ambitious, career-oriented ,logical guy) & Sahana (who is gentle, crazy and sensitive girl) happens to fall in love accidentally and the journey of their bittersweet love tale begins...

Okay I’m clearly ashamed that I DNFed this book the first time because the starting was a little bit too much for me personally but then I felt very very guilty and started reading it again and thank God I did. Shikha kumar is one of my fav author and she didn’t disappoint in this one tooo 😉😉😉
Sahana is the only daughter of one of the business man in Mumbai. She has been pampered throughout 20 years of her life. She gets all hysterical when her parents announce to her that they have chosen a guy for her marriage and that they want her to see him. She flees away from the place to escape the mess her parents had created for her.
Enter Kartik, a young boy of 24. He has been recruited by Sahana’s father, Ajit. He is in Mumbai to set his career on the right track. Mr. Ajit suggests Kartik to take a tour before joining his company. Kartik choses Goa and then commences his road trip.
Life is going on fine for Kartik and then he realizes the presence of another individual in his car at the entrance of his hotel. That another person is no one else but Sahana. Kartik had already seen her once in Mumbai and this was the second time. He has a crush on her. Sahana is financially broke and finds Kartik to be a safe company. Does Kartik’s crush take form of friendship? Yes. It does. Kartik and Sahana spend awesome time in each other’s company and return to Delhi. At the Delhi Railway station, Kartik receives one of the greatest shocks of his life. He learns that Sahana is his boss, Ajit’s daughter. What does Kartik do then? Do Kartik and Sahana meet again? Has Kartik fallen in love with her or is she the only one stupid in this situation? What has destiny written in store for them?
My Take:
I had been waiting for quite a long time for the delivery of this book and when I finally received it, my mother spoilt the show. She started reading it and hence, here I am late with the review.
The story begins in a filmy way and ends up in being a mature read. The narration has been done in 3rd person narrative and is easily connectable. The witty dialogues have been Shikha Madam’s patent and she does it again. It’s really fun to read the conversations. Take a bag. Add some innocence, humor, wit, intelligence, jealousy, anger, possessiveness. The result that you get is the dialogues from Shikha Madam’s book. The flow of the story has been great. The reader will never feel lost anywhere. The chapters create curiosity and the reader will surely finish this book in one seating. Like HFTMSFH, This book too is unputdownable. Sahana and Kartik are truly adorable. I found little bits of me in them.
Logically Stupid, That’s Love taught me a few lessons.
There is nothing right or wrong in love. Love is a neutral. Once the moment is gone, it’s gone for forever. It will never come back again. So grab it and make the most of it. Love shapes you as a better individual. If not then it’s not true. Heart always rules over brain. No matter how much you try to run away from heart matters, you will end up in being a slave to your heart.
Likes:
Characters Sahana and Kartik Coversations.
Dislikes: I found the story quite filmy.
Logically Stupid, That’s Love depicts modern relationships; those relationships where heart has a miniscule role to play; those relationships which are decided based on job status and financial situation. This book is for all ‘Stupid Sahana’s out there who are struggling to get their partner’s time and attention. Don’t give up. Make him realize your importance. This book is also for those ‘Logical Kartik’s. You won’t find another Sahana like from the book who would wait for you for five years. Hence, treasure your girl, pamper her and make her feel special. And most importantly, acknowledge your feelings.
I rate:
Cover: 2.5/5 Story: 4/5
I rate Logically Stupid, That’s Love with 4 stars.
It's been long that I read a book by an Indian author and I am glad I snapped off my fast with this book. By the time I finished the book, I could relate to the famous saying by Paulo Coelho. He said, 'Important encounters are planned by the soul long before the bodies see each other.'
Kartik Brar hails from Amritsar and has recently earned his MBA degree in Marketing. Being a smart and confident chap, he bags a promising job opportunity in start-up company owned by Mr Ajit Khurana. As a joining bonus, his boss offers him an all paid trip to Goa. Kartik was to meet Ajit Khurana in a hotel in Mumbai before leaving for Goa. While his visit to the hotel, Kartik spots a beautiful girl, who froze his stare and made his heart beat faster. Not believing his fate, Kartik is on cloud nine when he sees the same beautiful girl in his car on reaching Goa. Sahana's dad Ajit initiated marriage to her keeping in mind her aimless future. Not able to take it more, Sahana ran away from her place and hid in Kartik's car to get a free ride till Goa. Kartik unaware of Sahana being Ajit's daughter befriends her and tries to hit on her. While returning back to Mumbai, they both decide to be in touch over the phone. However, Kartik is shocked to discover at the Delhi station that Sahana is Ajit Khuran's daughter. Life goes on from there for both Kartik and Sahana. Kartik gets busier climbing ladders of success and takes his company to new heights. Two years later, an office party brings him face to face with Sahana. They instantly connect and remember their Goa days. A few days later Kartik calls Sahana and from then on they speak everyday through emails, calls and messages. Kartik gets further busier in his business and Sahana goes to Nashik to pursue her MBA degree in HR.
As a part of her internship, Sahana joins her dad's company and works as an HR. This allows Sahana and Kartik to spend time with each other. However, Kartik feels uncomfortable with Sahana's growing possessiveness and advances. Fearing that he would get distracted and lose his career for a girl, Kartik rejects Sahana's love and be rude to her. Kartik also feels that being with Sahana would prove him ungrateful towards Ajit and his favors. Sahana's dream of five years come tumbling down and she walks away from Kartik. Time passes by and Kartik dives further into work, but feels a constant emptiness from within. Life gives him a final blow, when he comes face to face with Sahana on her engagement day. He realises how wrong he was in delaying matters of his heart and letting his life be ruled by his mind alone. Will Mr Logical toss away his hardworking years for a girl? Especially when she is his boss's daughter? Well, I wouldn't proceed further and mention spoilers here. Read for yourself and see how destiny makes the heart and mind join hands.
The book addresses the common issue faced by today's generation, Career or Love? Hence the connectivity with the characters is instant as a reader. Personally, I enjoyed the flow of the story and was quite happy with the ending. I enjoyed the way the author has pictured a Punjabi family, conversations that happen among drunk friends and the shyness of girl experiencing her first love and first touch. At few instances the story feels dragged up, but an eventful ending compensates for it. It surely felt like watching a romantic Yash Chopra film. You might like something and you might dislike something, but all the romantic souls would end up being delightful! Special mention for the cover image that is looks so apt with the entire theme!
Logically Stupid That's Love will keep you on hold and the characters sketched are so real and practical that will not fail to get you immersed in the story.
Karthik, young blood fresh from college who is ambitious has just completed his MBA and is about to take next step in his career. Tapping on his ambitions vein and motivating him with performance based package is his boss Mr.Ajit Khurana. No wonder , Karthik does his work beyond expectations. But what happens in his life when Sahana enters. Can the love win cover the logic ?
The supporting characters have justified their roles. Simple language, humor in the story are successful in relaxing your laughter muscles. The career journey of Karthik and Sahana, ups and downs of life are very beautifully portrayed. The love between brothers, notorious friend circle, pranks and plans are the other highlights which will ensure grasping reader's attention besides making them smile. The cover design is apt for the title.
Overall, I liked the book which gripped me from start but I felt the ending could have been shortened. Recommended for readers who love love stories and romedy.
I had read somewhere( I don't remember properly) that a story should be such that the reader gets a change after every 6 seconds of reading. Logically Stupid completely goes on to keep this. Right from the start to the end, the story is rich and very gripping which keeps the reader hooked to it. You don't want to stop reading it.
After reading her first book He fixed the match she fixed him I had to read this book by this author and was not disappointed by yet again. I really enjoy the authors witty and sassy writing style and love how she captures the interactions between the characters they are truly brilliant and throughly enjoyable. This story was a jam packed fun and sweet story. The plot was very interesting and was a total page turner. Really enjoyed it . A must read
4.25 Actually. This was an easy read. The story is good. But I didn't feel the excitement I had when reading her other work, 'He fixed the Match, She fixed Him'. May be it's because I read both books one after the other. The characters are realistic . Especially Karthik, avoiding love for the sake of work. It's what we see everyday. I gave this book this rating because I expect more good works from the author. May be I'll give it a re-read after some time .
I started reading this book and after a few pages, I got so engrossed that I could actually visualize the characters in front of my eyes. This book is dedicated to our generation which never values anything that comes easy. This book has too many ingredients that can make it a bestseller.
I loved the way Shikha has put elements like romance, thrill, and so much more in this book. I fell in love with the characters. As the story develops, the characters get intense, and you have more reasons to believe why the book is titled so. Special mention for the book jacket that fits so apt with the entire theme!
The two things that l liked the most about her characters were that they were very close to real and they keep you hooked. Because as readers we do not adore perfection in characters, flawed characters appeal us more!
Shikha is a witty writer who is somehow always successful in dodging sugar-coated romance and emphasizing on fun quotient consistently, and yet her book never fails to glow on emotions.
Shikha is one author to watch-out for. No dull moment, full of turns and twists, LSTL is an entertaining read with a profound message to the generation. Warm your hearts with a different yet everyday tale, a fun story which will impress today’s young romantic-comedy lovers.
At times you want to read something light, and change your jorna, it was a quick read. One of the words that's will be my takeaway will be crest fallen
Review- As the blurb showcase, the story is about Kartik and Sahana. Basically the batter of cake contains logic and love with some toppings and flavours of Friendship and Family. Authoress has tried to bake a story which has exactly defined the relations in today's scenario. Lets have a sneak peek in the story- it goes like the lead characters go for a vacation at same place (Goa) and come across as strangers but that was not exactly the first faceoff, Kartik has seen Sahana at a wedding and has been curios about her since then. A light romance and fun continues until the fact unfolds that Sahana was Kartik's boss's daughter. Thereafter a rail of events follow; Ajit (Sahana's father) suffers a serious illness, in the process she gets engaged to Rahul (A spoiled Rich Lad) Sahana's opinion mattered a least to her parents and among all this there is a innocent love story which is being suppressed between logics and responsibilities. Now you have to flip the pages of this book to know whether the love sustained or not! It was a entertaining read! The authoress has held me back with the nib of her pen, thought there were some drawbacks too, this leads me to the next section!
Positive Punches- • You cannot put this book down once you have started reading! • Totally Indian by heart, this book has 'jolly Hindi one liners' which catch your eye and spread a smile on your face! • Proper Justification of characters.
Negative Nudge- • Well, if you are a reader who will judge book after reading first few chapters of the book, then you will conclude that this book is based on a movie. In short starting is too dramatic, reminds of some Bollywood movies. • At some places the character description and romantic scenes are stretched a bit more than required which creates boredom at times. • The ending goes well but somewhere inside the reader is not actually believing whatever is happening.
My Ratings- 3.5/5. Take one for the cover, one more for the way she has described characters and one point five for the concept of logic vs. love. ( I don't know when I will stop justifying my ratings. Phew!)
So overall if you are looking for a good weekend and don't want to go out and sweat yourself up then this book will actually serve you well! All the best to authoress and team!
Logically Stupid is a great read and a book that has established Shikha Kumar as an elite writer! The characters of Sahana and Kartik are quite realistic and I as a reader never felt like I was reading a fairytale romance. each and every character is so well shaped and penned down that I can very well say that Shikha is a true magician who can bring realistic views even in a genre called Romance. Just too good work Shikha
☆☆☆☆ witty, appear to be realistic and an interesting read. The sudden twist and turn in the book will make the readers hooked to the book till the end.
