How We Can Save the Planet: Preventing Global Climate Catastrophe
An outstanding overview on global warming---and what we can do about it---from a distinguished world-class authority
Climate change is the single biggest problem that humankind has ever had to face, as we continue with lifestyles that are way beyond the planet’s limits. Here Mayer Hillman explains the real issues: what role technology can play, how you and your community can make changes, and why governments must act now to protect our planet for later generations. This book takes us out of the problem and into the solution of our global crisis.

This book makes a compelling case that we need a global political solution to effectively combat climate change. In particular, the world community needs to agree on an acceptable CO2 level and the time period to get there. The authors present a novel idea of a carbon cap and trade system for individuals to help each country reach the goal line. However, the authors are unbelievably dismissive of the logistical difficulties that need to be overcome to make such a system anywhere near workable.

I did enjoy reading this book although I didn't always agree with some of the suggestions it really does get you thinking about how much more we could be doing
