Q6: In what ways is this text different or similar to others that you have read?
In my opinion this book is different because of the New Zealand colloquial language and humour. This book has many places in New Zealand like the corromandel. It starts with a good ol bloke that goes to university and pursues his dream of purchasing his own boat and plundering the seas looking for fish. It has really good sense of humour. The funniest part was when they hooked onto a girls bikini when casting for a catch. This book even has an unusual way of fishing.... THEY FISH FROM A HELICOPTER! And reading about that really hooked me in.
Q5: What did this text remind you of? Why?
This text reminds me of the times me and my family used to go on early fishing trips and stay out for hours spending quality time. These two blokes went out early in the morning with a good mate of theirs and spent hours out in the sea with no bite at all but they said at the end that they still enjoyed eachothers company, so it reminded me of even though you don't catch anything it is about getting out for air and enjoying everyones company.
