Can somebody say, Baby Mama Drama? Now put your hands in the air and say it again really fast five times in a row. Ha! Look at you speaking in tongues and thangs... JK.
Anyway, this book was so full of drama that I needed a Xanax, pronto!! I mean this series had my emotions all over the place. I wanted to cry, argue, sucker-punch, kick and slap everybody except for the babies, Mama Faye, and Momma Freeman in this series.
First of all, everybody in this story was way too friendly. I mean dick sharing friendly. The kind of friendly that had brothers making deposits in one box and fertilizing eggs in another box. The women in this story had overies on steroids.
For as mad and stressed as I was I freakin demolished this series like it was the last supper, and like I was starving and this series was meals-on-wheels.
I sure did complain all the way through this whole series but I refused to stop reading because it was so dramalicious. I even emailed my sisters venting about Cai's dreads when the series had me on edge and feeling unstable (They just ignored me. Guess they're used to me freaking out over something in a book).
It's awesome how almost everyone in this story took turns being in the main character seat, that's how colorful each character was. I mean how in the world could a baby have personality and colorful parts in a story when it couldn't even freaking talk?
I fell in love with Egypt. How could I not when the author wrote her in so lovingly? I misted up when she first came into the story.
I loved Cai and Audri (MC's) even though I wanted to slap some sense into them both at times.
BTW, I'm sorry but the Cai on book covers 1 & 2 is kind of ugly while the Cai this series talks about is FINE!
*I hated Alex. She was a stuck up sleazy heifer in the most villainy, entertaining way. *Audri got on my nerves at times but she made me proud with her daughter/mother hospital scene, and she was an indipendent strong woman. *I didn't know whether to be pissed or laugh at Rima's crazy hood self. *Ari was mostly sweet yet she annoyed me some. Respect when she stepped up to the plate supporting her pussy happy man. *Finesse was a mess. I only half liked him because he was Cai's brother. He wasn't that flavorful. *Mama Faye was a good woman. Loved her character. *Momma Freeman takes the cake. She was a trip and a half. I Loved, loved, loved her with her coogerish horny self. She was a wise little something-something.
There are more characters in this series that added a heck of a lot to the plot.
I plan on reading more of this authors work. I just have to wait until my nerves calm down a little first.
This book had me at the edge of my chair😁. I read books 1 through 3; this story was too irresistible and exciting. Aurdriella and Cairo's relationship was not easy....it was compelling, and they encountered many obstacles from the crazy, money-hungry Alexandria. The secondary characters were fantastic and added so much entertainment and dynamic to the book. The Black Love White Lies series was hilarious, enthralling and addictive😍.
This book screams for editing, proofreading, spell check, grammar check, and a reduction in poor and wrong word usage. If all of this wasn't bad enough, the book reads as it was written by a 16 year old with an eye for everything designer based on all the unnecessary designer name dropping throughout.
The characters were tiresome and trashy, the dialogue is beyond forgetable, and the love story lacked passion and believability. This is the third and hopefully final book in the series with the same old story of boy meets girl, loses girl, boy gets girl back, others try to break the relationship apart, boy and girl have a HEA ending. In this series the story is poorly written and this book #3 is not worth the price I paid. Did I mention that I got the book free!
Things are back on track for Audrielle and Cairo after a major event in their lives creates more hatred and fury and thoughts of revenge from Alex. Despite the dark cloud that is Alex (Cairo's "in name only" wife), Audrielle and Cairo are determined to be together and Alex is just as determined to keep him at all costs. This is the final installment of the series and ties everything up neatly or does it? MY RATING: 3.5 STARSBe Warned: Slang, Profanity & Typos Abound.
I hate to see that Cairo n Audris story is over. I loved these two together and you can just feel how they were made for each other because no matter what was thrown their way they still stayed together and worked thru it....
Chile...up till 6 in the morning trying to finish the series in one night. I thought this was going to be a typical romance series. Anything but that. Wow
I know I'm years late...thank goodness or I would have never read anything else by this author who is actually new to me and I like from her recent books. Reading this, I can definitely see the growth and vast difference between then and now. This series was like watching one of those Tubi movies shot from a phone camera with very bad acting lol. The events that happened, the dialogue, the reasonings was just all bad. Audri was a silly, naive, immature, doormat of a character that was annoying and got on my nerves, Cairo was just a dunce, his reasoning for marrying Alex was beyond ridiculous and stupid. Alex was over the top, Audris mother was repetitively bipolar. The situation with her aunt and mother was so ridiculous but should have been talked about more and handled differently besides her mother having two months of her allowance taken away smh. Most things that happened was just ridiculous, the icing on the cake was the so called kidnapping of the baby, omg, that was soooo badly written lolol 😂, it was so bad. You can tell this amateurish work was early on and I'm so glad to say I have seen this author's growth because I enjoy her more recent books tremendously, this series doesn't even sound like her, once again that's the growth and development that is clearly seen. You can tell she has definitely worked on her craft over the years because from the four or five newer books I've read, I love it and can see she is on her way to being a powerhouse.
I have never read such stories, or thought I would have been interested in such stories written as such... Generally, I do not purchase series, or different part because I am so afraid of not being able to catchup on them, but this was so worth it, and so well written and so gooood... MS. Woods, first time reading your work and I can't wait for more... Now, where and how can I get me a Cairo and Audrielle, man this chick is the bomb, big and beautiful and found a way to get the best looking male there was, man why can't it always be like that... I can't wait for more... This was so worth it... I read all three parts in 1 day...
I loved the storyline with all the twist and turns and not so great outcomes. Genesis touches on the basis to mist plus sized women's view of the world around them and relationships. There were many times I got teary eyed because I felt Audri's pain of just wanting to be loved and chosen by someone for all the right reasons. I'm glad she got her happy ending! #SpitTruth (insider) read the book to find out... There are some errors such as timelines, a few words here and there but nothing that distracts the story or takes away from the story so much tgat you won't want to finish the series.
Saddens me that even when someone is scheming, gets caught, and still think of how one can still think he/she was wronged when being held accountable…
Greed, lust, pride, envy, wrath, manipulative, narcissistic, and down right delusional are just some of the descriptions that follows Cairo, Honey Bee, Alex, and Eli through this page turner…
Love prevails and sustains when the storms continue to rage and roar… Communication was in question from beginning of series…
This ending was one for the record books! Cai and Audri are true couple goals and to see their love manifest into that forever kind of love we all dream of and desire was everything. The endless twist and turns had me from page one to the end. I am truly happy for all the characters even the shady ones got that happy ending 🤣🤣🤣. Ms. Woods you did the damn thing with this series!
While I wasn’t too crazy about book 2 book three more than made up for what was lacking or too much of. This book had character growth and maturity I even came to understand and like Diana Freeman. Justice was served to those who should have gotten what they deserved and there was an HEA. Wondering if we’ll see how Toby and Niecys story turns out other than that I’m glad I read the book it turned out to be a good ending.
Thus was without a doubt the most farfetched story I've read all year. The whole situation with how Cairo found out about the money made zero sense!!! How is it you come into any amount of money and instead of speaking to an attorney or the executor of the estate FIRST you take the word of an ex girlfriend that you call crazy in every other sentence? I'm sorry but this was an absolute no for me.
I loved all 3 books. I can't wait for the next one.
Love it. It was inspirational and I felt every word that was written. Although it did not fully apply to me, it did in a way and I thank you for writing it. I'm about to start reading The Wright kind of love because this series was one that I completely love. Can't wait for the next book.
I enjoyed reading this story because I believe in the fairy tales of love. I like reading the strives and struggles that those find love and work continuously until they accomplish it. I believe love stories like these will give me joy and will most continue to read them.
I really loved this series and am glad that Audriana and Cairo got their happily ever after. The love that they had for each other was priceless. Alexandria got just what she deserved. After reading more recent books by Genesis Woods, I can truly see the growth in her writing, but she still did an outstanding job with this series.
That damn Cai and Audri got on my nerves this series. But it was worth the read. To witness their love journey was worth the rocky path. I want to be like Nana when I'm 75 too!
Crazy is as crazy does! What an ending to the series! Would you really coming through so much drama and still stay by his side? I don’t know, talk about a strong connection.
I finished all three of this series in 12 hours. I could not put it down. I will say it’s a little wordy at times but I definitely enjoy the plot through and through.
This story was one wild ride and I enjoyed the experience.I look forward to other books by the author, she definitely has a gift of weaving and connecting the characters and their situations.
This was a very good series. Everyone felt bad for Audrielle but she lie to Cairo’s face. So I don’t think he did anything wrong after she was busted. I am glad Alex got what she deserved. Great read.
I'm knew part 3 was going to be good. I have respect for the moms in this part. They got their act together and to care of their daughters. Finally, they have revenge on ms.alex.
Alex is something else. The writing was amazing from book 1-3. I had the physical book and got mad when I realized there was a second and third book. Love Cairo and Audri
