Living Among Sasquatch: A Primer

Rate this book
All of the events described in this book actually happened to Dave and Pam Gibson. Truly, no one is more amazed than they are. They bought land and rented a small cabin to live in while they built their mountain home. In the first year, they were oblivious to the creatures that lived near and passed by their cabin. In the second summer there, they found their first Sasquatch footprint. They discovered that Sasquatches were not only real, but that they lived among them. This book chronicles their path from nonbelievers in Sasquatch to knowers over a very short period of time, but also reveals many amazing things about these incredible beings. One Sasquatch, in particular, developed a fondness for Pam. She left it apples, and it left her flowers and even half of a squirrel. She also learned that she could communicate with it. Follow their journey of learning of Sasquatch, North America's most amazing being.

Wish I could meet the couple in this book. What interesting encounters! Maybe someday I may be so lucky. I will be doing more investigating.

Good of kind

This diary like account of a couple's interaction with Sasquatch is quite good really. As he goes from nonbeliever to skeptic to believer, it's possible that you will too. They never actually SEE one, but the evidence piles up since almost no one would prank over the course of several summers. On the down side, it's a little sparse and way too short; you wind up wondering what happens next. And his strange theory about Asian characters is just that--strange.

Added later: The author informs me that I somehow missed the fact that they did see one. I stand corrected. I'm moving a little further toward belief myself. I also want to say that after reading several more books of this type in this current round of interest, I have to say that this book is by far the best of the lot. I'm moving this from four to five stars on the basis of that observation.

If you were not a believer before, you will be!

This book is a down to earth, well written, honest, and funny account of the author's interesting introduction and subsequent interaction with Sasquatch in up state New York!

I wanted it to continue, and will read more that he has written...

Sasquatch

It was nice to read a book about a couple's interactions with the Sasquatch around their cabin. Wrote in Diary Style, it was not as fulfilling as it may have been, but it was realistic and I enjoyed the veracity of the writing.

Dave Gibson offers an interesting account of his experiences with Sasquatch.

Written in the form of a blog/diary, Dave tells of the different interactions his wife and him have on an ongoing basis with what they believe to be Sasquatch. If you have read into the Sasquatch phenomenon then this book will offer you absolutely nothing you haven't come across already and lacks the scientific objectivity that would better serve the topic. However, it is an interesting and quick read.

Mr. Gibson has penned "the" sasquatch classic. Unlike the usual dry, academic approach, one is treated with a humorist's seasoning of an avalanche of facts, photos, and first-hand sasquatch experiences. Sasquatcher and non-believers alike will enjoy this quick-read and beg for more.

An appetizer of a book

Short and sweet, an easy read. It was interesting to watch the evolution of the writer's level of belief. I'd be interested to see what he thinks after he's lived year-round on the property. I hope he writes an update to this version.

Humdrum. Thought there would be more to it.

Good read but not much content. Sure what is said is true just expected more. Looking forward to volume II.

Fun to read

I enjoyed reading this ebook and learned a lot along the way as the author and his wife entered this journey. It is well worth the read.
