This book doesn't really give you that much inside information. It gives you a short interview with the actors for all the main characters and some side characters, giving you a brief look at their career and what they have to say about the character they play. It gives a page or two description of the plot of each episode, but only for the first 3 out of the shows 6 seasons. Unless you want the episode guide, which isn't complete for the entire series, I wouldn't waste money on this book.

Only for the fanatic lover of the TV series, "Northern Exposure." Some backstage info and pretty good short bios of the cast and creators. Some good summaries of the first story lines. Interesting mostly for someone who either writes of wants to write for TV or a podcast. I enjoyed it as a fan of the writing and the character development on this 5+ year series.
