Well, another bargain priced Montroll book from the bookshop Kinokuniya in Sydney city, highly recommended for the advanced (read: not given to fits of gnashing of teeth and burning of Origami paper upon hitting difficult folds) folder.

Some top models here, but some of the models are the same animals as Origami for the Enthusiast, his other title. But get this - they are different versions than those models! For example, the pegasus (winged horse) is simpler in this book but not quite as satisfying. Oh the masochistic joys...

Anyway I have made all the Chinese Horoscope creatures in here and took photos of them: http://clockofaheart.blogspot.com/200...

Overall it's another great title and very challenging.

Don't, whatever you do, attempt this stuff without really good proper Origami paper, made for that purpose, which is actually square, because even 1mm can make a difference, there's nothing more frustrating than your ends not matching up when you know you've folded it right. Really plays to my sense of indignation, that...

My favourite origami figure design book, particularly because of all the designs, the dragons seem to be universally liked. An inspiring and entertaining collection of designs, but be warned! The designs are well above a beginner standard at times.
