This book addresses itself to a top-priority subject, the most significant relationship between two human beings. The book wasn't bad, and it is filled with good information, but I felt it was more of an organized brain dump than anything thought-provoking or new.

Good information on marriage, excellent chapter on middle age.
Thoughts I enjoyed:
No one can rob us of our salvation, no one else can keep us out of heaven, only we ourselves can do that.
If every spouse did to the other as they would be done by, there would never be an serious conflicts,'
"The fountain of content must spring up in the mind. He who has so little knowledge of human nature as to seek happiness by changing anything but his own disposition will waste his life in fruitless efforts and multiply the griefs he purposes to remove" - Samuel Johnson
