The practical side of using rockdusts as fertilizers, compost enrichers, and plant growth enhancers is discussed in this exciting book. Beginning with an explanation of the spiritual, cosmic side of rocks and drawing from his extensive knowledge of biodynamic techniques and dowsing, Lisle explains how to utilize these materials in agriculture. Peppered with in-depth quotations from other writings on the forces within rocks.
This was good literature review to the potential cosmic impact on gardening and human life, but thats it. Overall I was not convinced on what the author was writing about and did not feel like I learned anything tangible. From the very beginning of the book, I was basically told to take the authors word for it. Even at the end of the book I was not really taught anything regarding dowsing or how to take the first steps to implement 'enlivened rock powders' in my own garden.
I do believe that a force like this could exist, but this author did not convince me. There were a number of books and author's mentioned that the reader could further explore. I left the book disappointed, but will keep it on my shelf to reference the books in the bibliography for future reading.
Why aren't they teaching this in school? Oh, maybe they are and I just wasn't paying attention.I learned what the jyotish astrologers know, that gems and rock have a certain vibration!!! They also attract energetic waves. I learned what the "wise men from the east" in the bible knew, that the position of the planets in the sky is important BECAUSE the stars and planets are living and emite and attract energy, just like us.
