EDIT: Undercover Husband seems to be related to this book

I enjoyed a Temporary Marriage and while reading it I got a feeling that it is part of a series, so I will try and check that out.

The premise of the book, Abigail is a mid-wife in the mountains and she likes it that way since working in a hospital as a nurse isn't for her. One day a CIA officer shows up on her doorstep reminding her of the death of her missionary parents five years before and the days they spent in the Amazon with a tribe. The CIA officer tells her that a plane went down there and since the locals are hostile she may be the key to saving lives, Abigail can't refuse and prepares to go to a place filled with memories.

What Elijah the agent doesn't tell her is that the plane has information of the traitor within the CIA. Of course our Abigail invokes feelings in Elijah who is known for his cool, after all he learnt it in childhood and foster homes.

What I enjoyed that while in the Amazon, it was Abigail who knew what she was doing and Elijah had to follow her lead. They need to get married since to ask for the tribe's help Abigail has to be married. Elijah feels bad for what he is putting Abigail through(bittersweet memories, cheating her out of a wedding etc).

They then of course go on the run and these two can't stay away from each other with Abigail reading Elijah like a pro. The book wasn't something new, but was a good read while travelling in public transport and my paperback had all pages, which is a plus.
