In the beginning, our regenerating energy and immunity healed us. We benefitted by the plants and Earth. After technology and religion ruled, no one but clergy were allowed to heal naturally. The original ways are called “alternative”. Now that too much is hopelessly “fatal” in modern medicine, commonsense has returned home to nature, cautiously.
Most animal health guides limit themselves to anxiety or skin problems, literal surface issues that get no flack from self treatment. Mainstream medicine shines in antibiotics and structural repair of wounds and bones. Everywhere I look, however, reams of testimonies record that natural methods healed what doctors could not. Still, authors fearfully recommend consulting “regular” doctors; seldom daring to share urgent, major cures. In 1997, Dr. Richard Allport made a list of when veterinarians are important. Learning natural methods takes time and emergencies cannot wait. Then... he got to the good stuff!
“Heal Your Cat The Natural Way”, full of helpful, wonderful, sweet photographs by Jane Burton, is an enormously encouraging, educational book that I did not expect to achieve five stars from me. That it is specifically about cats is valuably rare as it is! We need not sift for medical care that applies to our babies. THREE of our cat children arose to the afterlife in 2021 & 2022! For those still here, I am seriously studying well reputed healers, combining human manuals with animal ones, which are almost wholly interchangeable.
Richard honourably refuses animal derived concoctions and provides a great list of successful methods: flower essences, tissue salts, acupressure, Chinese Medicine food recommendations. I have never seen a more clearly organized book! Instead of alphabetizing, body systems are grouped, making everything readable and memorable. Solutions from every healing type accompany each problem: including kidney disease and cancer. This is a marvellous cat’s toolkit!
