My evil, arrogant prick of a stepbrother is back...and now he's even more irresistible.

And he has his eyes set on me.

After the hell he put me through in high school I was happy to get away from him and our small town. But now I'm back for the holidays and to celebrate our parents' anniversary.

I thought I could lay low, keep my head down, and make it back to New York with a minimum of hassle, but my stepbrother won't leave me alone.

And after 4 years in the army, my already-hot stepbrother is ripped and tattooed all over - just looking at him and I want to tear his clothes off. And mine too.

I hate that I want him so much, I hate that I need him like this. But I can’t stay away…

All I have to is make it to New Years...

NOTE: This is book 1 of a 2 book romance story. This book, 52000 words, contains an HFN. Book two, 50,000 words, already written and releasing soon, contains the HEA for Laurel and Harrison.

I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book. I feel like all step brother romance books are reminiscent of a sort of Romeo and Juliet story. Granted Romeo and Juliet were not related by marriage but you get the idea. It's the quintessential star crossed lovers theme, the forbidden love. The main character, Laurel, was very relatable and a little awkward in a cute sorta way. I feel like I've thought her inner dialogue many times in my life. The way she analyzed everything, not in an annoying kind of way but in a very realistic female type of way. She has insecurities and doubts about herself and her relationship with Harrison. I think many if not all woman have thought along those lines when dealing with the male species. Another thing that I loved about this book is that there is very little angst when it comes to how she feels about him. Yes we see her insecurities about their relationship but we don't spend half the book reading he loves me he loves me nots. The author gets to the point of the story and does so in a relatively short period of time. I do wish it was a little longer and didn't end where it did but I'll wait till I start reading the next one to get my HEA. All in all I think this is a good book and worth the read!

This was a good read. I really enjoyed the characters. Laurel and Harrison are great characters. I got attached to them pretty early on. The story felt like a really quick read to me. It flowed really well and I didn't want to put it down once I started reading it. Laurel and Harrison are step-siblings that have never gotten along in the past. Harrison is back from a deployment and Laurel is home for the holidays. Laurel gets into some trouble with a guy and Harrison steps in and helps her out. This then causes them to learn some things that they didn't know about each other. It comes out that they are both attracted to each other and things go from there. The sex is explicit and hot. There's also a lot of sexual tension between the two of them, before and after. Story wise the time is short, so we get to see a lot of what happens between them. This is just the first part of their story and while it does leave without everything resolved, it isn't a major cliffhanger and you will definitely want to pick up the next and final part to their story and figure out what happens.

I was given an ARC copy from the author for an honest review. Lucy has written an amazing story and I cannot wait to see how things turn out in book two. Can this unlikely couple make things work?

From the time Laurel had met her step-brother, Harrison, they've not gotten along. Her father and his mother always treated them differently and honestly she's been jealous of him. They celebrate his achievements and barely acknowledged hers. When she goes back for vacation, she's thrown into going to a welcome home party for Harrison by her father. With no warning, she's forced to go and pretend to be ok with being there. She goes out with her very pregnant friend from school, Maggie after getting away from the party. After a bad choice, she finds out how Harrison has really felt about her since meeting her, but isn't sure if they'd ever be able to make it work. Who knows what's going to happen next, and how are their friends and family going to take things?

The plot story of this book was very well written and fast paced, a unique step-brother storyline. It takes a lot to put your work out there as a writer for the world to consume or pick at it in pieces but this writer has amaze me with her style of writing. This is the story of  Laurel and Harrison, who disliked each other when they was younger but now after so long away and returning the attraction begins... The characters are well developed and engaging even when Laurel thoughts of insecurities would rise up. She was a little awkward at times but considered normal female apprehensions...The story is presented in Laurel's POV and it would've been nice to read in Harrison's as well. Overall, a great and unique read!!

I received this for my honest review. This is the story of Laurel and Harrison who go from enemies to lovers, they are step siblings who have hated each other for years or that was how it appeared. They both have a secret that they have wanted each other but couldn't do anything about it and was scared, now back from his first tour back from Afghanistan their parents celebrated Harrison's return. Laurel has been the odd child since her mother's death and with a new woman and her son in her house with her dad she felt pushed away, her father doting on his new son and his new wife not really knowing how to approach her. The author gets to the point of the story and in a relatively short period of time and made for a great read.

From enemies to lovers, these two step siblings have hated each other for years but they both also has a secret they wanted each other but couldn't do anything about it and was scared. Now from his first tour back from Afghanistan their parents celebrated Harrison's return. Laurel has been the odd child sin e her mother's death and with a new woman and her son in her house with her dad she felt pushed back with her father doting on his new son and his new wife not really mean or anything just didn't have a emptiness for a daughter in her life.
I have read many step sibling romance stories but I have read a couple that ( can't remember their titles) but also had similar issues and actions, I fell like I know what is about to happen but I will still read part two anyways.

Harrison and Laurel. Love/Hate relationship? Only time will tell. Laurel feels as if Harrison hates her. He's treated her badly for a long time then he went away in the Forces. Has he changed now he has come back...well maybe one can hope.
A story of Harrison and Laurel who seem to dislike each other but after an embarrassing encounter in the bathroom!!!! They both seem shocked by their actions. He still torments her but now in a different way. Then after a horrible episode one evening on a night out, Harrison is there to protect her!!!!!
Confessions to be made, emotions to consider and now, where does that leave them.
Loved part 1 and can't wait to read part 2.

This is the first part of Redeemed, it contains thirteen chapters of steemy chemistry and hot sex.
I don't have much to say beyond the fact that this is one sexy story and I can't wait to get to know Harrison a little better, he seems like a promising character.
Also can't wait for that baby to pop out and I hope Chris shows up sometime in the next part of the book or I'll be a little dissapointed.

This is a good book for stepbrother romances, military romances fans and fans of NA.

I probably stopped actually reading this at about 46%. I skimmed the rest. My guilty pleasure is step-brother romances. But this one fell so short of my expectations. Mainly because every step-brother romance I've read I've really liked and has been so freaking hott. Not this one. The main character just had no depth to her and there really was no background has to how exactly her SB was such a huge douche while she was in HS with him or anything of the nature from the past. It was really hard to even connect with the main characters. So sad.

I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This does not change my opinion of the book.

This book was on fire! It was hot. Holy cow, it was so hot, it bears repeating!

It was also a really fast read for me and I literally flew through it. With how it ended, I had to read the next book immediately not because it was a cliffhanger (I swear it was not) but because I can't wait to see what happens next!

When Laurel is asked to come home to welcome her stepbrother back home she doesn't want to go. Laurel and Harrison never got along at all. Laurel having had enough leaves the party and goes out with her friend, just when she thinks she meets a nice guy he tries to force his way on her but Harrison saves her. When they arrive home Harrison tells Laurel something she never will forget.

Laurel and Harrison have never gotten along. Turns out he treated her badly because he couldn't have her. She's always had a thing for him, but they're step siblings. Steamy rollercoaster ride of emotions that had me flipping pages into the wee hours of the morning.

Arc for honest review.

I really enjoyed this book, good storyline and you cant beat a cocky soldier who actually turns not to be that.

Laurel was a very timid character, the further you get into it the reasons come clear.

The only thing I would say is that there are quite a few grammar errors throughout the book.
