The Morse code is steeped in tradition, not only in Amateur Radio but in other services as well. The sight of a radio operator sending a message in code generates a certain intrigue that makes the mind wander to thoughts of ships in distress, signals-in-the-night and faint transmissions from distant lands. Although some of the thoughts it conjures are of times gone by, the code is useful today as it was the day of it's invention, more so in many ways. Portions of our high-tech, modern-day military make extensive use of the code. Whether you are a newcomer to Amateur Radio or you have been licensed for 50 years, you owe it to yourself to become proficient in the most valuable means of communication.

I believe, the language of love is an indecipherable form of Morse code. All starts and stops, beats, pauses, transmissions over long and short distances, frequently being lost in the ether, never given, never received, received, never understood. Then rarely, ever so rarely, connection made, strong reception, complete comprehension, powerful exchange, undeniable union. An embrace. An understanding. Message received.

I have always been enamored by these cryptic elements of love and Morse code. No words necessary to understand either language perfectly. Just impulses and feelings. Electricity. Magnetism. Chaos. Quiet. Revelation. Beckoning. A beautiful message relayed over and over. An ethereal reading caught between mind and body. Heard. Felt. Understood. Consummate.

Here is why I like this book. I have tried other ways of trying to learn Morse Code. I was about to give up till I came across this one. Right now I'm at 5 words per minute and working for 10 words a minute. So want to learn Morse code and some radio history. Then you should try this book.
