Mission Mathematics II-PreK-2

Developed by NASA and the NCTM in an effort to link the science of aeronautics with NCTM standards for mathematics education, this collection of classroom activities, part of a set of books for different levels from K-12, has been revised from its first publication in 1997 to focus on aligning the activities with current NCTM standards. Each activity includes goals, instructions, and tips for promoting class conversation and extending the activity. Forty resource pages offer classroom worksheets. The accompanying CD-ROM contains all of the resource pages, plus posters for classroom use and web links. Unfortunately, the exciting b&w photos from real NASA programs illustrating the teacher sections of the books in this set are not reproduced for the students in the book or on the CD-ROM.
