Very informative book about the Welsh revival and Evan Roberts. I did not know much about these events before reading this compilation of news articles, reports of preachers in the areas of those affected by the revival, eye witness accounts from participants, reports on the effects of these changed lives on their families and friends, church responses to the moving of the Spirit and the overall transformation of entire communities. This book is very inspiring on a spiritual level and encourages the desire for prayer and a new work of the Spirit in our own day. On a personal level reading it has inspired me to pray, spend time in the word, and to fellowship with other believers.

Being of Welsh descent, this book has greatly encouraged me. I have learned a great deal about how God moves before, during, and after revival strikes a nation.

very good book. very uplifting to hear the stories of how the revival touched so many different people and that it was not just centralized in one church or one place. The revival spread all over the Welsh country and even into England. One thing that the book does not talk about is the effect it had with the Azusa St revival in Los Angeles. Frank Bartleman sent a letter to Evan Roberts asking for him to pray for Los Angeles. He sent a response back saying that he will and will spread the message of the prayer that Los Angeles is in need of revival and also a poem as well about the Holy Ghost.
I truly loved this book and the sacrifice that men like Evan Roberts have made over the years.
Also the constant theme of the book that rung over and over was Prayer and the important's of it.
When Gods people get together and pray things begin to happen.
The only thing that I did not like about the book was when they were telling of the stories of people and how they were changed, there was no names mentioned. It is not a big deal but I just wish that the names were given. But this could have been done at the peoples request or lets face it all the people that attended the services it was probably hard to remember their names.
Over all, well worth the read and very encouraging and uplifting. If you are thinking about reading this book, you will not be sorry

I learned so much it's still sinking into my heart, when the body of Christ will come together in Worship. Look out
