The very first Ladybird book ever was produced by a jobbing printer called Wills & Hepworth during the First World War. The company, based in Loughborough, Leicestershire, began to publish 'pure and healthy literature' for children, registering the Ladybird logo in 1915. Despite the company's claims, however, those books would no longer be politically correct. In the ABC Picture Book, for example, A stood for armoured train!

Drawing and Colouring Fun with a Few Stickers Too:-
I've bought around 10 of the Peppa Pig Sticker books so far over the last few months and whilst this is a good fun book, none of them has yet surpassed the Peppa's Dress-Up Sticker Book which has pages upon pages of stickers. This Daddy and Me Sticker Colouring Book is definitely more of a drawing and colouring book than a sticker book as it only comes with one sheet of stickers but it is still a lovely book for any little artistic fan of Peppa and my daughter has loved colouring and drawing inside it. All of the books I have purchased have been from the Ladybird range from Penguin Books and have had the same nice thick covers and more importantly thick good quality inside paper and so I would definitely recommend any of the ones I have purchased and reviewed so far.
The book has 17 A4 sized pages including the page of stickers and so 16 non sticker pages and in addition to this it also has a small strip of stickers near the back cover and a cut out cardboard photo frame for your little one to put their picture of their Daddy that they drew on an earlier colouring/drawing page. I have attached a few pictures showing the front and back covers, the sticker page (before they were used), the cut out photo frame and sticker strip, the introduction page and two of the colouring/drawing pages and I would have attached a few more but I am conscious that perhaps this may infringe copyright and the publishers may not like too many pages shown.
The page themes are as follows and each listing below covers one A4 single page:
Introduction (medium colouring in part)
Me and My Daddy - Me page (for your child to draw a picture of themselves)
Me and My Daddy - My Daddy page (for your child to draw a picture of their Daddy)
My Daddy's Favourite Games to Play - Outside page (small colouring in part and then mainly for drawing)
My Daddy's Favourite Games to Play - Inside page (blank drawing page)
Funny Times - My Daddy laughing (blank drawing page)
Funny Times - Us laughing together (small colouring in part and then mainly for drawing)
Exercising! - My Daddy doing sports (small colouring in part and then mainly for drawing)
Exercising! - Me doing sports with my Daddy (very small colouring in part and then mainly for drawing)
Trip to the Beach - Me and my Daddy at the beach (small colouring in part and then mainly for drawing)
Trip to the Beach - Playing in the sea (blank drawing page)
Relaxing Time - Us watching our favourite TV shows together (small colouring in part and then mainly for drawing)
Relaxing Time - Blank Page (very small colouring in part and then mainly for drawing)
Snack Time with Daddy - Making and eating our favourite treats (small colouring in part and then mainly for drawing)
Snack Time with Daddy - Blank Page (small colouring in part and then mainly for drawing)
Bedtime - My favourite story to read with my Daddy (small colouring in part and then mainly for drawing)
This is a really great drawing and colouring book and the sticker sheet and photo frame are really nice extras but I do wish there had been a few more sticker sheets however as long as you are aware this is mainly a drawing book then I don't think you will be disappointed and it is another really good quality book that has give my daughter hours of fun. I love the Daddy and Me theme and think this would be lovely anytime of the year but even more so with Father's Day coming up and I also purchased the Mummy and Me book for just before Mother's Day too. A really good drawing and colouring book but at least two more sticker sheets would have made this a fantastic book.
