Carmen Bredeson is the author of The Spindletop Gusher: The Story of the Texas Oil Boom. She has also written more than 50 non-fiction books for children on topics such as space, exploration, holidays, history and geology. She travels the world getting ideas for her books with her husband, a petroleum engineer. She lives in Katy, Texas.
I read the spanish version of the book. Unfortunately it is not listed here. The book was informative and contained enough information to introduce the young child to the solar system.

-REVIEW: I think that this is a great introductory informational text about solar systems. It provides a systematic way to introducing the different parts and elements of the solar system. It has real photographs, a simple layout, and an index at the end of the book that can be extremely helpful for an early reader.
