Rissa Blakeley is the author of a fantasy paranormal series, Corvidae Guard, and a post-apocalyptic saga, Shattered Lives, which features a paranormal twist and has been adapted into graphic novel form.

As a native New Yorker, Rissa is now a Georgia transplant who is completely addicted to black coffee and La Croix, obsessively listening to songs on repeat. Her days are packed with characters screaming for more scenes, cats living up to their Harry Potter namesakes, lazy dogs, a teenage daughter, who’s bringing Emo back, and a Viking husband, who finds her puns less than funny. When Rissa isn’t writing, she can be found procrastinating on social media.

Just a little taste, please!

This novella, A Little Taste of Naughty, brings you back in time when Elaina and Henry first stared to date before the viral outbreak and were unsure of themselves and their relationship. It gives us a sweet glance into Henry and what he sees in a woman. It also gives us a dose of the insecurities we as women face in our self-image and how shopping is truly an evil art form in helping to develop those insecurities we harbor about ourselves. Claire and Marc make a brief appearance and you really get a great view of how prim and proper Claire was prior to the zombie virus attack. As always, Henry and Elaina steam things up at her cousins wedding - scorching office desk sex that makes you look at frosting and work a bit differently!

In this Novella, there are also snippets (previews) of the Shattered Lives: Broken Dreams book by Rissa Blakeley, Michelle Rabe’s Cast in Blood, and Brenda Tetreault’s Tempted – a great way to preview new authors! They are definitely a must add to my TBR! I did receive a copy for an honest review. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I have! 5 out of 5 stars.

This will read as an odd review. The book has not yet been published...on its own...but it has been published in an anthology with another twenty short stories.

I bought the anthology on the day it was published and read the stories of the five authors I knew. I am saving the other sixteen for...sometime.

A little taste of naughty is being published in its own right very soon. Good. It was my favourite of the five anyway.

It will now take its place in the 'Shattered Lives' series by Rissa Blakeley. Henry and Elaina get to break out to become serious players. The hot, sexy scenes are just what it says in the title - a little taste of naughty. It is served up as a tasty appetizer before the main course arrives...shattered but sizzling hot.

A fantastic start to the series, or a good way to answer some of the questions you have.

This is one great addition to the series, and gives you a "deleted scene" feel to the overall story. I've read the other books in the series. What makes me like Henry is his absolute devotion to his Elaina. Their bedroom chemistry is off the charts. This actually added even more to the back story of the series and gave you a glimpse of life before the virus was released. It was refreshing to get a story about the couple that didn’t revolve around the virus, undead people and death. It helps remind you why you liked Henry at first (before he was quite so whiny and crying all the time). If you enjoyed this story, you HAVE to read the rest of the series.

I LOVED this short. Ms. Blakeley really knows how to spin a story so you feel like you're in the room watching the action...especially at the wedding reception. I've been to wedding receptions, but I've never had THAT much fun. Plus you get a little taste of Henry and Elaina from her Shattered Lives series. I'd definitely recommend this one.

Well, well, well, Rissa is at it again. With the teasing and sh*t.
But I love it and her.
This was the perfect little titbit I needed after beta reading Blind Faith. I needed this happy moment.
Henry is a very naughty man!very very naughty.
Exactly why I love him.

Another good novella with the characters of the Shattered Lives series. In this short story we get to see a bit more of Elaina and Henry and how much he loves making love to her even at a reception.
We also get to see how Elaina isn't happy with how she looks even Henry dotes on her all the time. We get a glimpse of how life was for Elaina, Henry and Claire before the virus makes its appearance.

This book takes a glimpse on Henry and Elaina's sexy relationship. It's got sass, jealousy, sexy, naughty scenes like you have never seen before. I absolutely loved this short story about two of my favorite characters as they explore the steamy sexy romance of their relationship. Be prepared for dripping panties....just a caution
