Not a big fan of this book. Main reason being...bikers, well not just bikers but most men aren't as chatty as the lead guy in this book. There are sooooooo many spots when the president is long winded and giving out advice to his peers like he's a woman!
While president is holding his severely hurt woman he goes on a tirade to his buddy about how he should go get the girl he wants, blah, blah, blah....MEANWHILE....his tortured, bleeding girl is in his arms waiting for someone to help her with her injuries. THAT, was probably the worst and stupidest part of this book

I loved how long this book was. There was a lot of back story to this one too...almost half the book. This book is not for the faint of heart though! It had some really tough scenes to read at the end! More great characters and I was thrilled to see see some favourites from her other two series popping up in this read. I will definitely be continuing on with this series!

This story had the potential to be a five star read. I’ve read this author’s other series, Devil’s Spawn, and noted the problem of editing issues in most of the books in that series. So it should not surprise me that his book is riddled with editing errors. Single sentences that jump from third to first person is a crime for a qualified author. This author has the ability to bring some very interesting characters that a reader can connect with but often the plot is not believable. I’m sorry I’m one of those readers that can’t just overlook such huge editing and writing issues.

With all of that said, I actually liked this story and most of the characters, even though there were so many characters that I often became confused with them. One of my other pet peeves is that if you’re a KA fan, you might think you’re reading excerpts from Motorcycle Man including the “rivers of blood”, the dog tags and the KA man speak. So many things that came right straight from Motorcycle Man. There’s real specific (almost OTT) violence and rape. Then there’s the ex-old lady who the h shares the clubhouse with for over two weeks but then doesn’t recognize her old childhood/teenage friend who bullied and terrorized her as a young girl. But she immediately recognizes her later in the book with no explanation.

Will somebody please tell this author to get a decent editor/proof reader? She has so much potential. I’m only rating this 3 stars because I did like the core story and the main characters.

I read the first devils spawn book just the other day and then jumped to this one...format almost identical - along with the same editing issues.

I won't be reading anymore of them cause seriously can't these guys protect their women. Between the two clubs at least half of the women have been raped, brutalized, beaten, tortured - i don't think a bad thing that could happen to them wasn't done - they haven't been water boarded!! Yep that's a plus right there.

If I was presented with the option of being with some apparently good looking biker with a gift in bed or having almost every bad thing happen to me by multiple assailants I would be leaving dust in my wake.

Why can't some bad stuff happen to the guys not one of the bastards in the two books I've read even gets shot?!

Anyhoo that's it from me - I think the content warning on this one should have been a bit bigger, I'm not squeamish but damn 🙃

I stumbled onto this title

In my recommendation and I fell hard for this author. I don't think the couple even met until 20% into the book. The author gave wonderful back story for both characters that had me intrigued. I could have cared less that they hadn't met. I just knew by the writing it would be phenomenal when they did. I was not disappointed.

The plot was complicated but the author has such a great way with both detail and clarity that I actually understood the intricacies of the story and cared about the details. I have to a admit that sometimes I move fast over these things. But her writing style made me savior each word.

The storyline was at times very gritty. There were some really difficult outcomes and heartbreaking losses but they were realistic. Sometimes these MC romances tell a harsh story but when all is said and done the heroine survived without really being hurt at all. (What? She was abducted, beaten and raped but it turns out it wasn't as bad it it seemed. ) This writer was not shy about giving the reader the harsh reality of violence, injustice and depravity.

I am looking forward rd d to reading more. And going back to her earlier works. Thanks for a great read!

This story had soooo much potential. This is the first book I have read by this author and it needs serious editing. There was inconsistencies in the book, one example is that the male MC ex is at the club house and meets Beth (the female MC) and they bicker a few times over a few weeks and then once Beth is kidnapped with the help of the ex she remembers her from when they grew up together and that she bullied her all through school, how did she go from not knowing her to knowing her all through school?? I thought the beating and multiple rape scenes were a bit much and didn't really need to be so graphic to get the point across. To be honest probably won't read anymore books by the auther as I found myself skim reading and not really everything.

Enjoyable, Entertaining reads.
All Books in the Devil Spawn series and Vengeance series either have A few spelling errors, Letters missing from words eg hem instead of them, he instead of her etc, and other misc errors such as timeline not matching or description of events not matching in other books.
Apart from these issues I enjoyed the books and series.

Recommend.

Such s great read

This is an amazing storyline. I thought the book got off to a slow start but the it began to pull me in. It’s heartbreaking in some sections but still worth the read. The only thing I’d change is the spelling errors and typos.

This is my first Natasha Thomas book. It was recommended. Liked the story. Only complaint is the continuous problems with wrong words, misspelling and other grammatical errors. I'm hoping book two "Fury" doesn't have this issue.

Good story

This was a really good story. It was fast paced and the characters were very well written.

I had an issue with the number of typographical errors, which at times distracted from the story, hence 4 instead of 5 stars.

This was a good book but would be so much better with a but of tweaking. There are a lot of spelling mistakes and it's a little all over the place.

This was my first book that I have read by Natasha but I can say that it won't be my last. Slowly leading you into the world of Vengeance MC and takes you on a journey through the eyes of Boss, Jackson Carr. You reach a point where slow moves to gripping and sucks you in where you are not able to put it down. While some parts may be hard to read for some, I loved the twists and turns. I loved the strength in Beth, Avery and Bella. I can't wait to read more about these boys.

Wow, oh wow.

It started out a little slow but keep going. It is so worth it. Beth is a very strong woman, nothing weak about her. Jackson, fell for her and fell hard. I still believe there are some characters that should suffer like the other mc club. If you red it you will know why. Great book, a must read. Now on to the next in the series.

Hmmmm...

Okay, first off, I generally don't write a ton of reviews. I definitely don't write prospective readers a synopsis review they can get from reading the hook-er (how I affectionately think of, known to you as, the back cover blurb). I'll start off by stating that I did enjoy this book. Read it straight through actually. It was fast paced, engaging with some interesting characters and an edge of dark. Just how I like'em. There are some concerns that I'm about to address so if you don't want to know, please don't read the next paragraph. I would also like to put this out there, I have nothing but mad respect for this author's hard work so please don't take offense to what's to follow...they are my personal observations and in no way are intended as disrespect to this author or their fans.

I noticed some inconsistencies that didn't necessarily detract from the overall story but they definitely registered so they stuck in the back of mind throughout. Jackson, our alpha hero, in the opening chapters references his reasoning in buying his home for his future family, wife and children, to settle in, yet later adamantly is against having children with no explanation. He has a club girl one night stand in aforementioned home and dreads the morning after brush off, yet tells our h, Beth, he's never slept with a woman overnight in his home. Fury is beside himself that his love Avery is taken yet a chapter or two later it states Gage is the one the club locked down then it changes again to Fury being released from lockdown. Confusing. At the beginning of the book, Beth smells citrusy like lime then later her smell of vanilla and cinnamon is on the sheets. I haven't gone back through the book to quote these observations word for word. They are just impressions of a few inconsistencies that stuck with me. I also found myself frustrated that if Beth and Laura went to school together from grade school on up and knew the same people, how did Beth not recognize Laura? Why was Laura even still there when the soft lock down seemingly was over and the other women were free to go to work and out for a night on the town with no protection? Now, on to the KA (Kristen Ashley) similarities. The arc of this story was eerily similar my beloved Chaos aka Kane Tack Allen's beleaguered war to move his MC into legitimate enterprises. Many of Jackson's speeches to Beth about the way it was gonna be were word for word at times straight out of Tacks mouth. "I need the words" and internal dialogue at the end about "rivers of blood" to name a couple instances where I paused to check that I wasn't reading Motorcycle Man. I even at one point could have swore I was reading a scene out of Sweet Dreams featuring the one and only Tatum Jackson....hmmm....Jackson. Coincidence? I'll never know. KA men are distinctive and memorable and I have read every single book multiple times. I certainly don't mind reading new author's whose characters are similar but there were certain parts of this book that I thought were a little too alike.

That's all I've got. I enjoyed the story and would like to read the future installments but would love to see some more in depth editing to alleviate some of the inconsistencies.

Raw and gritty...

First a warning! SPOIlER ALERT also...For those who are triggered by graphic scenes of sexual assault or descriptions of torture, be warned it is a big event in this book. It isn't gratuitous in my opinion it is a very real part of the kind of violence that can happen in an outlaw world. We read books about honorable bad boy alphas who are tough guys with gooey centers for the right woman but in the real world, there are sadistic monsters in the MC world as well as walking free on the streets beside us who don't hold women in high esteem or places of honor but see them as meat or expendable vessels for their depravities.

As for the rest of the review, I really liked the H, Boss/Jackson, president of the Vengeance MC in Furnace, Colorado. I also like the h, Beth for the most part. I did find her recovery from the final violent acts against her to be unbelievable. SPOILER: The scene of Boss holding her in the room she's just been tortured and raped in while having multiple conversations with his brothers, during the rescue scenes, which she is alert and participating in, is beyond far fetched in my opinion, the first thing anyone would have done was haul ass out of that place for her comfort and peace of mind I would think.

There are a whole lot of secondary characters and associate MCs mentioned which adds to name and relationship confusion. Having never read this author before I'm guessing some may be from other MC series she's written. The book would benefit from a good editor as I found an over abundance of commas used where they weren't needed. Also some of the grammar as well as missing or wrong words in sentences.

Finally, there is no cliffhanger. There is a HFN for our main couple with an epilogue extending about 2 years into the future. I enjoyed the book and do recommend it but hope readers will heed my warnings.

Emotional Read!

What a great book! But if course I expected as much because of the other books that I've read by Natasha. Call Me does touch on some violent issues so if those things bother you than this may not be the book for you.

Jackson is the President of the Vengeance MC. Since taking over six years ago he has taken the MC from illegal practices to everything on the up and up. He had a crappy childhood and has never been in love, that is until he meets the woman of his dreams.

Beth leaves home at eighteen after a horrifying night . in time she grows and meets some amazing friends. One of which begs her to leave California and move to Colorado to help him in his tattoo shop. That's where she meets Jackson and her world changes.

I loved this book, these are some of the best characters I've read about in a while. I can't wait for the other books to see what happens with them all. It did seem to move slow at first but once it starting rolling I couldn't put in down. Loved it!

No words.....

I don't usually write reviews because I read so much and don't always have the time. But when a story touches you, makes you stop and think, then that is a moment you have to acknowledge. The strength of Beth. The love and compassion that "Boss" has not only for his brothers but for his family and Beth is touching.

I would definitely recommend this book. Some of the punctuation was off. Too many commas that interrupted the flow. Because the story was told in the first person by all the characters, there were some slip ups where the third person POV was inserted, but all in all its was good.

The only other point I would mention would be that in some areas the story could have been expanded, that would have given better clarification on the events unfolding but still not too much of an issue.

If off to on-click book to in the series now. Looking forward to this next one.

For the most part I loved this story and the angst between the M.C. members but the first 16% was fraught with grammar mistakes and missed letters in words. (Hence the 3 stars). After that it was as if the author had switched places with another writer even though the errors continued the story telling improved.
Here on in I really got to know these characters warts and all and I became interested with their day to day lives. The females in the tale felt real and the drama was interesting because the author took the time to reveal the hidden layers of how they had become scarred. There were area's of confusion in the plot when a female is accepted reluctantly into the lock down . At first the heroine doesn't recognise her after going to school with her for 12 years then later in the story we are led to believe it was known all along?? Most of the final 15% of the book was choppy and didn't flow properly but with editing this book could be a 5 star read. Too bad.

Wow. This book gave me tears and laughter. Beth and Jackson aka Boss our the H and h of Call me.. Vengeance. But Avery also plays a huge part in this story. Beth has been though awful things as a young lady. She found her calling as an tattoo artist and gets a chance to work alongside her mentor/friend Jay aka Jonas in Furance home of Vengeance MC. Boss the President of Vengeance hasn't been looking for love but finds it in Beth. Their coupling happens fast and quick just when things are good something happens and will change some lives forever.
I read the Devil's series by Thomas but this is heavier in all areas. I couldn't put it down once I started. I can't wait to read the stories of this series.
Thomas writes about serious situations in Vengeance, I cried and cheered for the women and their men in this story.
Happy Reading! !

Good book TERRIBLE editing

So I rarely leave reviews but this has to be said. Please fire whoever edited your book. The story had me hooked. I felt every bit of happiness and sadness along with the characters but the editing completely distracted me. I'm usually okay with a few punctuation/grammar issues but this was a hot mess. Wrong character names multiple times throughout and the story did not match in places. There were wrong words used A LOT. It's hard to focus on the story when your having to go back and read to figure out what in the world it's supposed to be saying.

Punctuation means something

DNF. 3%.

Random commas, not meaning anything, are placed every few sentences in this book, breaking up the flow of words to an irritating degree. I thought the first few were typos, but they just kept coming. I only got to 3% before I couldn't take it. The story seems like it may be something interesting and other than the random commas, the writing is good. I wish I could give it more of a chance, but there's no way I would have been able to ignore the commas.
