Otherwise how would chef Cassidy Preston ever quit her job? Cooking at The Haven, a new outreach mission in Chicago, was temporary—payback for a huge favor. But the shelter was Tyson St. John's life. And it provided him a place to raise his orphaned nephew, a boy sorely in need of a mother figure and Ty's love. But something was holding Ty back from opening that hardened heart of his. Something Cassidy found herself working overtime to uncover. And, once she did, she'd have to prove to Ty that she should have a very permanent position…as his wife!

I really loved this book I loved the characters and it was a really hard book for me to put down I just wanted to keep reading it to find out what was going to happen next and I think the author did a awesome job writing this book and I can't wait to read some more books by her.
Good characters. I liked Ty and Cassidy's growing relationship and interaction with Ty's nephew. The Haven was an outreach mission in Chicago. Little did Ty and Cassidy know it would be a healing haven for them both. A good read.
I would say this as very light. I can relate to Jack. As I was also being restricted everytime like I can't do anything and I feel like I am causing trouble for everyone even though it is not intentional. This book is maybe a parenting guide as well for new parents.
i was surprised at the main (male) character's background. most non-fiction authors tend to make the life of a soldier appear more "romantic", and rarely tell it more like it really is. i liked that about this book
still, despite the hardships both the main characters went thru, this was still an uplifting book. i'm ALMOST ready to head back to my demented usuals!
Cassidy ad Ty both are working at Haven, in Chicago to help a poor neighborhood. Ty is a psychologist with PTSD from Iraq raising his nephew. Cassidy grew up in the neighborhood and raised her two sisters after her mom died and her dad left.
