Human Services Practice, Evaluation, and Computers: A Practical Guide for Today and Beyond

Rate this book
Nurius and Hudson illustrate the many possible uses of a computer, tracking a case from beginning (intake) to end (closure). One of the main strengths of this book is its interactive feature. Rather than merely reading about how computers can be used, readers learn to use them by using the disks that accompany the book. The software that accompanies this package is a student version of a professional software package, developed and marketed by Walter Hudson, called CASS (Computer Assisted Social Services). This is a comprehensive practice management and assessment system that is fairly well know among social work practitioners. It is used by individual practitioners and small agencies.
