This volume follows the general pattern of the series, opening with a discussion of content, of authorship and of the way the collection came to be put together, followed by a psalm-by-psalm presentation of the N.E.B. text with commentary.
Despite the fact that this Cambridge University Press series is a digital (on paper) reprint from the 1960s, it's still the best and most accessible commentary series I have found, and they have one in print for every book of The Bible.
They were written primarily, though certainly not exclusively (as it states in the preface), for use by British high school kids to study for the equivalent of the American AP Exam.
There is a pleasing no-nonsense, down to earth quality to these Cambridge Commentaries that makes them fresh and useful -- even some fifty years after they were first published.
