3.25 stars This was a decent read. The hero a detective does a favour for his mother's old college friend when there is an attempted kidnapping of her grandson. The heroine is the daughter of this said-friend and the guardian of her nephew. While there the hero makes the nephew feel like a child when all the adults around him including the heroine act reserved around him. The hero makes the heroine see that she needs to get back to her own life again (she moved in with her mother after her brother's death). I liked that the heroine wasn't a total push-over when it came to her dominant mother. Of course we also have the mystery of who is trying to kidnap her nephew. All in all not bad but I have read better books by this author.
