This textbook presents excellent information in the technological sense. It does however ask questions without direct answers, instead these questions coming before a paragraph tend to be the question the reader may want to ask the author at that point of reading the textbook while the following paragraph does not present the author actually responding. The glossary in the back is more accurate in giving definitions than the chapters talking about these terms in detail. This is the only reason that this textbook is not getting a five star. It is worth buying and reading. It is simple to understand in this technologically advancing world. I am currently using it for a three credit college class called "Introduction to computers" It is well liked in class, and has excellent pictures and support material for both teachers and students.
