Very informative book, with recipes for beauty and medicinal uses. The author gives good information on each herb mentioned. How to grow and care for the herb, and the pests that are attracted to them. For each herb there are many easy to prepare remedies for medicinal problems, and beauty aids. The only reason I couldn't give a five star review was I had two complaints. Only six herbs are included in this book, but there are more herbs that have medicinal properties. My other complaint was I wish the Table of Contents had also had a section organized by medicinal problem. As it is, it is only organized by herb, so if you want to find a particular remedy, you have go through the whole Table of Contents. I was given this book for an honest review.
For me, this was the first book I've read that made sure to include the medical con's and pro's of the herbs. They were to the point and easily retained. It is very clear how important it is to know your herbs. I feel more confident in making choices for what I can and cannot use at a given time. This is especially true when choosing what to use for my children. Thank you for the information and I want to read more like this.
