For being a collection of key concepts like a dictionary, this actually isn't too bad of a book to read. The authors do a nice job tying a variety of concepts together and showing the interrelated nature of social movement studies, while also providing some key examples to go along with each term. I do have a few critiques. First, sometimes the quick, easy, simple definition of a term gets lost in a description of its application; some of the entries begin with a straightforward definition, but sometimes that gets moved down to near the bottom, which isn't especially helpful. Second, the number of examples/profiles of specific social movements (I think) eventually becomes tiresome and unnecessary; the analytical concepts are quite useful, but the examples chosen to profile seem random at best and not always related to other analytical tools or even events of major historical significance. Still, all-in-all a decent resource that is fairly accessible and easy enough to read, not much more you can ask for in this kind of guide.

خوندن مقدمه کتاب، بیشتر از خود کتاب برام لذت بخش بود. اینکه مطالعه کلمات کلیدی مرتبط با جنبش‌های اجتماعی و بررسی مختصر، سطحی و پی در پی این مفاهیم سودی برای خواننده داشته باشه رو بعید میدونم.
سطحی و مختصر در این حد که سرچ کردن پیرامون هر مفهوم یا جنبش به نظرم به رهیافت مفیدتری منجر میشه.
