Love, Murder, and Corruption in Lancaster County: My Story

Rate this book
On the morning of December 21st, 1991, Hazel Show walked into her apartment to find her 16-year-old daughter Laurie, viciously murdered, her throat slashed and her body assaulted by multiple stab wounds. The police quickly fingered three participants in the heinous crime: Lawrence "Butch" Yunkin as the getaway driver, Tabitha Buck as the one who held Laurie hostage in the doomed apartment, and Lisa Michelle Lambert, the one who reportedly committed the murderous act. Lisa was demonized in Lancaster County and in the media, and she was eventually sentenced to life without parole.

In this utterly provocative first-hand account, Lisa Lambert is breaking her silence on every last detail of the events surrounding the murder of Laurie Show. She describes the years of physical, sexual, and mental abuse she suffered at the hands of Lawrence, the murder as it actually happened, and the startling ways that law enforcement tampered with evidence and conspired to frame her for murder. I can’t believe there are people out here defending Lisa. Did they not follow the same case I did when I first found about this stalking and eventually murder of an innocent teenage girl named Lisa? This woman Lisa is a dangerous and emotionally violent woman who has never taken full responsibility for all the things she did to Laurie Show.

Playing the victim while the real victim is no longer here to defend herself is disgusting.

Lisa Michelle Lambert should NEVER be released.

It is well written, but I attribute that to the author and not Lambert. It does provide some good laughs though, not at the murder of Laurie, that was disgusting, but at the outright lies Lambert claims. If you didn't follow this case, or have not read anything else about it, please do your own research before reading this book. It's a good piece of fiction but don't trust any of the alligations by Lambert, who should be showing remorse instead of placing blame on others.

How can anyone believe such a lying, manipulative, evil, jealous trash like Lisa Michelle Lambert. I don't believe she was gang raped, i do believe it was her who killed Laurie Show 1000%. She deserves to spend the rest of her miserable little life in prison... Laurie's mum will never see her beautiful daughter again of this tramp and her vile friends. Anyone who believes this mess of a monster are deluded and disgusting, go get some mental help!!!!

Corruption

This book is a nightmare ever so real...gave me nightmares of the intensity and detailed descriptions of events. Feel so sorry for the innocent Lisa Lambert whom to this day is incarcerated for a crime never committed by her and even exonerated of all charges to be expelled and expunged by one of the trusted Judges; only to have the freedom yanked away back to prison. Confession upon confession to cover up testimonial evidence and claim false accusations of the horrendous crime that took place in Lancaster, PA on the early morning of December 20th of 1991. A court system that is corrupted to full fill the obligation of Political seatings that will do absolutely anything to protect the true evidence is shameful and disgraceful. A battered Woman enclosed not only by her abuser but the Justice system. This case needs to be brought to media attention and I urge the President of The United States of America to Pardon Lisa Michelle Lambert of all charges be rewarded alimony for all the abuse conducted and most like continued while Lisa Lambert serves time in prison to be Freed once and for all and return Lawrence Yunkin to Prison for life without parole. I feel betrayed by the USA Court System and have learned never trust the Justice system as corruption is ever so real. Everyone needs to read this book.

It is staggering to imagine being so blinded by jealousy that you would trade your entire life for a prison cell, destined to die like a rat in a cage.

Well Written, but . . .

Left with questions. This young lady never, not even once, is at a loss for an excuse or an explanation for tragic events. It is well written and, for the most part, believable however, it remains hard to fathom that the state of Pennsylvania has, and had, such pervasive corruption within their justice community. If you believe this young lady's account, never will you learn of such a miscarriage of justice.
