Really good for me
10/10

This book is a must for oil painting portraits. I got it out of my library, renewed it three times (the limit) and have now decided that this is a must for my painting studio.

I am just starting out and was fortunate to take a one day portrait class offered in my community. I fell in love with oil paints - and doing portraits.

I got this book to help me understand some of the concepts learned in my one day class. It did that & more. I love how he shares the actual mixing of colors to obtain that certain look.

I highly recommend this for oil painting. The other reviewer is right, this is not for watercolors. Everything is different between painting with oil and watercolors.
