The Longest Drought Ever is about four childhood friends that grew up in an environment where having a father figure around was like hitting the lottery. The chances of that—very slim. So with no male guidance around to teach them how to be a man, they turned to the streets unknowingly. They went from selling weed to getting connected with a Mexican cartel and took to the streets of Youngstown, Ohio, like professionals. After getting everything they ever dreamed of, one decided that he wanted no more part of the drug trade, but the rest did. Will the cartel let that one walk while the others continue to do business?
*****Chef Boyardee I can only imagine how much bigger this book would of been if it was all in paragraph form. Can't wait for book 2. Your work is up there with K'wan & Raynesha Pittman. Very impressed your pen game is hot and your flow is beast !!!

I would actually give this a 4.5 stars.... Great read and it kept me on my toes... Full of suspense and drama... some grammatical errors but for a first novel, overall it was a great job.... Can't wait for the next installment
Drugs. Money. Suspense. The Longest Drought Ever is the greatest book I have ever read. It was so real and brought me closer to understanding how people on the hood have to live. It showed me how hard some people lives could be when caught in the wrong things and gave me a stronger outlook on life. Kilo, Fresh, Slim, and Quick, are smart young and powerful in their community and were able to achieve the goals I want to, like owning sports cars and diamond and gold chains and rings. They had every girl imaginable and truly were living life. They got caught up in the drug life and when the Columbian cartel got arrested they had to switch to the Mexicans. The Mexicans were worse than the Columbians. Controlling their every move. When times got rough in the drug dealing industry when supplies were getting low, quick wanted out. The cartel would not let him leave and threatened to kill him and his friends. This showed me how bad life could get if involved in those things so I will always stay away from those. This book changed my life. It taught me so many new things and about different culture and people. Keith L. Bell’s greatest book, The Longest Drought Ever, was so thrilling and a great read for those who normally don’t read. If you enjoy leaning about new lifestyles in the hood and leaning new vocabulary it truly is great. I know I will never forget this book. I will never forget Kilo’s smart ways. Fresh’s ability to get anything he wanted just with his dashing looks. Slim’s way to get out of any situation with his quick and violent actions. Last but not least I will never forget the way Quick could be so silent and not flashy but still put fear into enemies eyes because of his mystery, and the way girls went loco for him just being him.
