Emily Eastman survives a homeroom massacre, but so did the one who tried to kill her. She needs to figure out how to live with the guilt and the flashbacks, but she wants more. She wants to know she lives for a reason, but when her would be killer escapes she's too busy trying to survive all over again.
I love this & I can't wait for more. I will be also leaving a review on Goodreads @ Amazon. And letting everyone know about it. So i gave it a 5 Stars.
Not bad, but no great. It is a brief read about 15-year-old Emily's recellation if a school shooting. Not quite a year before a male classmate appeared in the doorway of Emily's homeroom and opened fire, killing the teacher first and then moving on to the students and other parts of the school.
I relate well to Emily and admire her faith to survive this trauma and use it to help others. I have never experienced such a traumatic event and hope I never do. I cannot even begun to imagine what goes through a person's mind as they are at the mercy of a killer, nor can I quite understand why the assailant's desire or wish to bring such harm and trauma.
This book was dire. I was lead to believe it was a Christian book, but apart from a few peppered phrases here and there, there was nothing 'Christian' about it! Frankly I found it disturbing, and I think the person who wrote it has a disturbed mind. I have read a lot of Christian fiction, but never anything as awful as this!
