About the author

Librarian Note: There is more than one author by this name in the Goodreads database.

Chris Kramer is a successful entrepreneur, former professional golfer, husband, dad and reluctant author. Originally this book was something God put on his heart to share with his family. But then as some of his friends and his pastor started to read sections of what he was writing, they encouraged him to get this out to more people. They let him know that these short observations about God and life were helping them to interject more of their Faith into their daily walk. As a result, Chris published this first collection of short writings in the hopes of inspiring and equipping others to put God first in real world ways.

disappointed with the amount of conservative politics in this book

I wanted to love this book because the author is my brother in Christ at Hope, but I was increasingly disappointed as I read. He is obviously politically conservative, and his observations on politics and religion are completely the opposite of my own. I also feel that God has led and continues to lead me in my life and I am politically left. This book makes me feel doubt in what I was previously confident was Gods will for me-not in a good way, but in a very shaming way, to the point I stopped reading. I would love this book if it didn't have as many political statements and biases, which is interesting that I hear the same sermons as the author yet I have a completely different take away message. I see that as diversity in God's Kingdom! I bought it because I was intrigued by the premise of an instruction book of sorts for his family; and while I think it does that beautifully from his views, for mine I must keep looking.
